You've got to be kidding me. This "wittle" warning is coming from one of the people that think the Patriot Act is a good idea. Now that's irony for you.

What Bush and Co. are selling:

"If we never leave Iraq, we never have to admit defeat."

"If we punt to the next administration, we never have to admit how badly we screwed the whole thing up and we don't have to admit defeat."

What Bush and Co. are selling:

"We have done nothing wrong but we don't want to speak about that on record because we have nothing to hide."

"If we talk to Congress about this afair it must be behind closed doors and we must pick who will be in the room and the questions to be asked because we have nothing to hide."

"We are pushing this thing to a Constitutional Showdown because we want to avoid a public spectacle and we don't have anything to hide."

"Our offer is very generous and, if Congress doesn't take it as is, we will not testify at all because we have nothing to hide."

Are you buying?

US_Infidel I know you know what I wrote about Iraq is true. You are one of the republicans that can think for themselves and you can see what has happened to your republican party under this administration.

when the president this bill I believe at that point the Dems will rally behind this bill and defeat the veto.... since it this point there is less support for an immediate withdrawal. we need a deadline for the Iraqi government to get its act together, to stop the looting of our Treasury by this administration for this unjust and immoral war, we need the president to go on record as saying each time he sends troops to battle without enough training or rest between deployments that he's doing so knowingly. That he is personally certifying that the benchmarks for progress in Iraq are being met. That he is taking personal responsibility for all to see no more excuses from this Bush. I cannot wait for his next address in prime time to the nation. Hey maybe it will be " I'm resigning." and then maybe Cheney since he says he doesn't want to be president will go also. If not 2008 will change horses and direction.

rsoxfan1123,
I wouldn't be any better than the neocon zombies if I didn't point something out.
As for the yellowcake, I was there. There was yellowcake. I saw it. At least what I was told was yellowcake.
However, what people do not understand, or have been allowed not to realize, is that yellowcake isn't that uncommon of a product of perfectly legitimate energy practices, and if safely handled isn't all that dangerous. Further, the amount wasn't all that great.

Rafterman1, there is a concept that you need to start warming up to....... it's a POLL.

I honestly believe that the neocons, no matter how calloused they have become by their dedication to their party line, deep down inside where what is left of their conscience is, know that what I am saying is the truth.

Slick Willie in his two election victories NEVER got more than 50% of the American vote. He was elected by a "minority"..... but I know he his still your hero"

Considering only 40% of the public votes, any president is always elected by the minority. By the way, Bush I was probably my favorite recent president. A carrier pilot during WWII, he puts his son to shame in just about every catagory.

s-o-b who lucked out because of Regan's and Daddy Bush's policies should be applauded?

Hey Mudrose,

You know who coined the term "Voodoo Economics" in reference to Reagan's Trickle Down theory? Bush Sr. Look it up. I doubt you will, as you really don't want to know anything that counters your ideals.

You want to play statistical trickery like that, I can play all day. The economy was good during Clinton, mainly, because of consumer confidence. People believed in the economy. They spent money because they felt secure. The consumer confidence numbers fell THE DAY W was elected. Again, do a little research. And don't throw the DOW Jones at me, it isn't, and never has been, an accurate indicator.

As for Clinton being a womanizer, etc... I'll steal a line. "It's about the econonmy, stupid."
And the war, and ineptitude, and taking the American public for a ride.

BTW, did you ask Bush to give you a little kiss before you voted for him. I know I like a little kiss before I'm scre wed.

Well, if I'm going to be taxed too much and spend too much, I'd much rather do it feeding the poor and funding Social Security than killing the poor and robbing Social Security.

you figured it out. you have to realize, though, that there are numerous people making a fortune off of this war that do NOT want us to leave regardless of what it does to our country, and they are counting on their mindless zombie neocons to believe whatever they're told, whether it be WMD, yellow cake, or that Hussein blew up the world trade center. And they figure that they can keep making up new reasons and their mindless zobies will accept each one, never getting suspicious about why they have been given three or four new explanations for why we went into Iraq in the first place.

US Infidel,
Well, my pants are quite dry and the libs won't have to worry about it, because the surge isn't going to work. I'm not a betting man, but I'll lay you a mortgage payment that this time next year, you, and your president, will be saying "We can still win this thing; just give us a little more time, and more money, and more troops and more lives, and more lost US credibility, and more resources we could be using to find Osama, and more and more and more and more."
Then you will have the NERVE to accuse dems of spending too much.
It hasn't worked in 4 years, another 22,000 troops are only going to be 22,000 of our bravest and best being made targets.
Well, if I'm going to be taxed too much and spend too much, I'd much rather do it feeding the poor and funding Social Security than killing the poor and robbing Social Security.

you imagine what would happen if the new strategy in Iraq actually starts WORKING?
Posted by US_Infidel
What you have to realize is that there are numerous people that don't give a rat's *** about Iraq, they would rather invest $1 trillion in our own country than someone else's. They personally don't want to sacrifice their child to secure the west side of Fallujah, and they think that anyone that cares more about Iraq than America is welcome to go right on over there and get their own legs or head blown off.

Hilarious ... a minority of the americans, maybe, like most of the presidents, but not with a minority
of the voters like the joke in charge now ...

You call a "do-nothing" congress the one who did more in two months than the previous ones in years, the real "do-nothing", "rubberstamp" GOP congress.
But of course, you couldn't come up with a new adjective.
