Democratic Presidential Candidate Announces Wife's Cancer Is Back And Is Incurable
- Is everyone to your left a "certified communist?" Pardon me for saying that your capacity for empathy doesn't ring true.

- For those of you with comprehension problems, my heart goes out for the couple, and I pray for them, and wish them the best. However, this does NOT mean that I like J. Edwards, certified communist.

- This was a decision between them. If Elizabeth did not want him to run in light of this news, I believe he would drop out. I admire the integrity in which they handled this issue now and in 2004. But those with cancer usually do not ant to be considered victims and it has been my experience that they want to keep living life as fully as possible for as long as they can. This is the path that they chose together and we should respect their decision.
I am already a John Edwards supporter and my support is further solidified. I wish for him and Elizabeth Godspeed and good health. - Reply to this comment
- Edwards should get out of politics and look after his wife.

- "Let me be absolutely clear. Any time, any place that I need to be with Elizabeth, I will be there." John Edwards

Now this sounds like a "family values" guy to me, unlike Newt who left his wife (in the hospital) when she had cancer, unlike Rudy who lived in the mayor's mansion on the first floor with his mistress, while his wife and kids lived on the upper floors, unlike a lot of the so called "family values" Republicans. John Edwards is a class act and we would be lucky to have him for our president. - Reply to this comment
- jdweymouth,
It is true that I am an Episcopalian. And I don't think you really need to be placing judgment on me here. This is not about me. Perhaps you should reacquaint yourself with the Sermon on the Mount. Some pretty radical, liberal ideas from Jesus in there!
Good night, sir! - Reply to this comment
- And the same goes to you, Agnim. I cannot believe you people! America is truly rotting at its core.

Has Bush EVER done ANYTHING wrong in your eyes? If not, you MUST be deaf, dumb, and blind! You and Musty2U are entitled to your opinions, but the insensitivity to towards the Edwards is appalling to me! Now, look in the mirror and pray that God will make you more Christ-like, because your attitude is most un-Christian!"

Bush has done plenty wrong in my mind, but I don't think he's evil, bad-intentioned, and I believe he's right about Iraq.
I do feel for the Edwards family, but I don't like Edwards. However, I would not wish this on anyone. I had an aunt who died of cancer, and it isn't fun.
I can't remember, but, if you're the Episcopalian who has an extremely heretical view of evangelism, then I think that the Osama Bin Laden would be just as qualified in telling me how to be a good Christian! - Reply to this comment
