So the story goes that these federally employed attorneys were told by their superiors to provide them with information about their work. Out of loyalty to the democratic party, they refused to give their superiors that information because it was incriminating to members of that party. They got fired for their politically motivated insubordination. Now they have the gall to complain about it? I can't imagine treating my own boss that way and keeping my job. If Bush buckles to these whiners, then shame on him.

If CBS news really wants to break a good story they should follow the leads they can get from this anonymous source of theirs about the information he was hiding. The marketplace would reward them. But why do I have my doubts that SeeBS is interested in pursuing leads that might result in something that might help Republicans.

They are your next door neighbors, teachers, policemen, doctors, etc. Perhaps they are your parents, aunts and uncles, or grandparents. In many families, some members are republican and some are democrats. Are they the satans and the nazis that some of you claim. No, they are people with different philosophies and ideas. No they don't. They have as a job to enforce US law.

yes, clinton replaced all u.s. attorneys at the beginning of his first term, as did reagan (and incidentally, bush jr replaced most of them at the beginning of his first term). however, clinton did not selectively fire certain attorneys after the beginning of his second term, nor did reagan. neither of these prior two-termers fired a single u.s. attorney in their second term.

the emails prove this was a politically-motivated act. those that were fired (save one, who was cleared out for a rove underling) were judged as not being "loyal" to the administration.

the u.s. attorneys have traditionally been -- and should remain -- not politically motivated in their prosecutions. this is democracy 101. we simply cannot have prosecutors with the power to indict people for the sake of partisan gain.

They refused this direct order from their superiors out of loyalty to certain politicians from their own party whom they thought might be harmed by potential leaks of incriminating information. And the result of this politically motivated disobedience to a direct order is that they were fired. And now they're complaining about it? What a bunch of spoiled brats! I can't imagine treating my boss that way and keeping my job. If the president buckles to these whiners, shame on him. By the way, if CBS News really wants to show their journalistic chutzpa, they should pursue the leads they get from this anonymous source and break the story about whatever wrongdoings he was covering up. The market would reward a news outlet that provides that information. But why do I have my doubts that SeeBS is interested in breaking a juicy story that might help Republicans?

I was once proud to be american and proud to say i i'm a vet,now i just want out.You all in congress and capital hill and white house should be working for america and the americans that elected you to protect us,that isn't the case and i know why. As American prestige continues to decline worldwide as George Bush follows the tenets of the Church of Satan, (which I have mentioned in an earlier post), mankind may be headed for a new Dark Age where belief always trumps facts, and sweetened lies always win over the homely truth.
