Lt. Gen. Kevin C. Kiley Is The Third Official Forced Out Amid Scandal At Walter Reed
- A failure of leadership from Bush on down, however in this case it was an intentional failure. Bush, Cheney and their ilk do not care about the troops and never did. To them they are just tools like a thief uses a gun. Wounded soldiers have been, in effect, handed over to Halliburton to be treated with the least amount of expense and the highest profits possible. A dollar spent on our wounded troops is one less dollar of profit that can be kicked-back to the head criminals in the White House. If anyone thinks Bush, Cheney or any of them cares about our troops or Americans in general then you're living in a sick fantasy land. Halliburton is an international company that cares nothing about America. They, like their co-criminals, Bush and Cheney, are dedicated only to the bottom line. They worship money and money only. It is what they pledge their allegiance too. Not us. Face it America, you've been had. You've been screwed. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of the filth they've done to our nation.

I'm asking about where the messenger has been all these years?
If the messenger has been ignoring the complaints until now than ... yes, the messenger is indeed part of the problem. - Reply to this comment
- I think that LTG should be not only retired but, at least, reduced in grade. However, he isn't the only one at fault. I have yet to hear of a senator or representative resigning because they didn't come up with the funds to fix the problems. There isn't a problem that exists today that didn't exist 38 years ago when I enlisted and existed 18 years ago when I retired from the Army. Who is at fault in the long term? Take a look at who you voted for in the last election. If everyone responsible for the state of military and Veteran's Affairs medicine retired or was fired we'd have a Constitutional crisis. There wouldn't be anyone left in office to become President.

- If I, or my loved one was mistreated or inadequately treated at Walter Reed or any VA or military health care clinic I'd complain to my commander, my Congressman, my Senator, and some newspapers.
I think most Americans would do likewise.
SO .... if it's been this way for years ... what have military commanders, congressmen, and senators and newspaper reporters done with alll those complaints they have been receiving over the years? why did they hold on to them so long and not yell and scream until now?
Could it be that newspapers and politicians weight their outrage to serve their political advantage rather than our service men and women? - Reply to this comment
- I wonder why this guy had not stepped down. I figured he must really have the goods on somebody. I'm glad they finally got rid of him! Now they need to get rid of the physicians who are falsifying medical records, downgrading serious injuries so wounded soldiers can be redeployed to Iraq. (Salon.com has the story.)

- I have been a critic of the Army Medical System and the Vetrans Administration for years, since I returned from service in Vietnam. I received sub-standard care and only because I had private medical care available and considerable cost did I fully recover from wounds suffered in service to my country.
I signed myself out of VA care in 1971 and I've never gone back. Today with cutbacks and almost 40 years of mismanagement, our wounded are still receiving care when they can get it that can only be called margional. I'm embrassed to say I'm a Vet., if this is the best we can do. - Reply to this comment
