Comments on: Gingrich Had Affair During Clinton Probe
Former House Speaker Admits He Was Cheating, Says Clinton's Lie Was At Issue
- Even as a staunch Democrat myself I agree that the "Clinton" pursuit was about perjury. Gingrich is still a hypocrite because he did not recuse himself from the investigation because of his own infidelity.

- I would like to say that Guiliani,Gingrich and Ann Coulter should maybe team up as the "Three Muskoteers" of the GOP party. All three seem to love throwing stones at the Clintons,Kerry,Edwards and other so-called liberals, even when COULTER,GUILIANI,and GINGRICH have had marital affairs themselves. I take one of them back: Coulter has never been married!!. I read the other day that GOP supporters are even trying to find stupid past dirt on Obama; unpaid traffic tickets over 17 years old, white ancestors who supposedly owned slaves over 100 years ago or more, please GOP supporters please come up with better than that!!. Let's see Guiliani,Gingrich both had marital affairs and multiple divorces and if you people don't believe me just look up on the internet encyclopedia the personal history and DUI charges(Yes that is a drunk driving charge!!)that Bush and Cheney both have on their driving records. If you are asking yourself; "isn't drunk driving a felony", yes it is. Clinton's affair and Obama's traffice tickets are not felony convictions so all of you GOP supporters please accept that!! Note: if you license is suspended like Bush's was at one time, pay your fines before driving though.

- Anyone surprised that this piece of human excrement set standards for Bill Clinton HIGHER than he does for himself ? This peddler of ********* who SELLS 'inspirational tapes' to bump up his income...is it any wonder both sides of his mealy mouth talk at the same time - about different things ? And LIE simultaneously ??
Anyone with a MIND can see the Republishit Party is rife with members as bad or worse than this ***********. They have been selling snake oil and redemption to the Bible-Sucking League ever since the sad days of Ronnie Ragoon, who should have been buried in a garbage can instead of the pomp and circumstance that surrounded his sendoff. By their clever bait and switch technique, they parlayed anti-abortion mumbo-jumbo into raising taxes on families, squandering a national surplus, and giving away the store to the corporations...all while raping out environment and *** our Veterans out of their due honour and medical care.
Their pandering to the gun lobby and the anti-abortion tadpole-baby-saver network has kept them in office until the mandate election year of 2006 when they were sent packing by a Nation sick of their *********.
And now a salamander-following mormon cult zealot is their best shot for the Presidency ?
Get used to saying it, Newt: "Nice to see you, Madame President !" - Reply to this comment
- I'm curious to know who is going to vote for Newt so that he can protect marriage and family values? Seems to me like he's been supporting divorce and a lack of family values with his actions. Seems like I remember an old saying about actions speaking loader than words or something like that...
Um, how many times has Newt been divorced? And, how many times has Clinton been divorced? Is anyone over at RNC headquarters keeping score? - Reply to this comment
Why is this news?? His affair was well publicized at the time - as was his serving divorce papers to his wife while she was in the hospital. He was saved by both the Republican control of the press and the media's decision that Clinton was the bigger fish to fry. Whether or not the "remorse" that his is now exhibiting is genuine or just a ply is for a higher power to judge. But, one must remember that he is a Republican.- Reply to this comment

Since he hid his affair too, we have no choice except to assume that he would lie to congress too even if he was a "high official." He lied then, and he will lie now. After all, as president, he would have more to lose so if he was incapable of telling the truth BEOFRE, then why should we trust the liar NOW... - Reply to this comment
- Do we have to listen to this lying hypocrite for the next two years? I thought we got rid of this bag-o-*** back in '98.

Short version: REPUBLICAN! - Reply to this comment
- Anyone who wants a man to lead you who obviously has no concept of right and wrong beyond how it can be used to advance his own cause has found a guy in Newt. The really sad thing to me is that most people will be gullible enough to miss the glaring problem with his position that it was the lying and not the infidelity that was the problem... He is a politician who owes his success to his ability to tell the most egregious lies with a straight face...

- "His first marriage, to his former high school geometry teacher, Jackie Battley, ended in divorce in 1981. Although Gingrich has said he doesn't remember it, Battley has said Gingrich discussed divorce terms with her while she was recuperating in the hospital from cancer surgery."
I sure hope the Republicans nominate this bum in 2008. - Reply to this comment
- "Gingrich argued in the interview, however, that he should not be viewed as a hypocrite for pursuing Clinton's infidelity."
There's another name for it ?

- Regarding my post from earlier this morning. I was incorrect....Gingrich was initially moving forward with impeachment proceedings when he abruptly resigned.
I was incorrect. I thought he quit before he was involved at all. My apologies for the error and for the unkind things I said defending the erroneous info. - Reply to this comment
- This hypocrisy is right on line with the Republican mantra. Trashing People for one thing that the Republican are doing themselves. Screaming for Pardon for Libby while they have the Impeachment blood of a president on their hands for the same offense. Unless you have been on your knees with your eyes shut in front of some Stalwart Republican like Mark Foley or Tedd Haggert you would have seen that Iraq did not attack America on 9/11 and that Iraq is in a Religious Civil War. The Republican Hypocritical Abortion hating, Pedophile, Gay Bashing, Sausage Smoken Evangelicals who steals millions of dollars from widow women promising them Salvation while all the time seeing male Prostitutes behind their wifes back are not good Republican character references. While Pedophile Republican Congressmen are still at large. Congress and its Rubber Stamp Oversight of the Cowardous Neo-Con, Chicken Hawk, Draft Dodgers who are sending others to war without ever serving themselves in the Military. The Republicans SUPPORT THE TROOPS rhetoric but can not even care for our Military wounded who live with Rats and Cockroaches at Walter Reed Hospital. The Sunni are funded by Saudi Arabia the Bush Family friends. Bin Laden is still active while Bush is secretly funding Sunni al Qaeda in Lebanon Iran Contra style. Yea Republicans are fine role models if you liken them to Crack dealers.

- HYPOCRITE !!! Just another in a long line of Republican lies backed by the pseudo-Christian, James Dobson. As a self-anointed prophet he will forgive Newt and they both will revel in even greater profits! If this doesn't show that the evangelical movement is just a Republican front - nothing will convince you ! Newt, James, Pat, Jerry, etal - they all make real Christians retch.
