Had gay and lesbian friends who speak their mind, and are afraid to speak their mind in this small south Georgia town....they are respected and accepted by many and chastised by others...but, they seem to be surviving....despite all...I have had friends, dear friends, who were in positions of not being able to have say-sos in medical issues; I have counseled them to use the laws that they have to have medical durable powers of attorney and wills to take care of issues that they otherwise would have no say-so in. Many have heeded my advise...many more need to do so...This is a bit off topic..

technically---F.A.G.G.O.T was a bundle of sticks; then, around 1500 to 1910, it was also used as a contemptuous word to describe a woman before becoming adopted in American slang as a disparaging and offensive to male homosexuals around 1910. I see you used a Spanish to English dictionary to justify your definition....but, it doesn't seem you actually copied and pasted the actual meaning of the word, "***" which, in fact, is the word that Ms. Coulter used in her statements at the Conservative Convention of the past week.

The self-righteous conservatives are famous for name-calling toward anyone who disagrees with their point of view. That's why it's so amusing when they are shown to be such big hypocrites such as Limbaugh (druggie), Haggard (anti-gay who had an affair with a man), O'Reilly (sexual harasser), Gingrich (skirt-chaser), etc.

I think it's great that there was any fallout from her latest garbage-spew, but seriously. The bad news for her is she's lost the support of such media giants as... the Mountain Press of Sevierville, Tennessee?

If, as Glenn Gilbert of Oakland Press says, she was reprinted for her conservative views, it says a lot about the conservative community in general that a measly three newspapers actually dropped her - while all others keep printing her. I applaud conservatives who denounce this, but it appears the "silent majority" still approve of her message.

Some people are 'purists,' or possibly they don't get past the first meaning in the dictionary. Many 'old' words have new meanings, spam, for instance. Who wouldda thunk that spam would come to mean 'junk mail.'

Coulter knew exactly what she was saying, she said it in a cleverly mean and nasty way, and she meant every word of it.

Page down a few pages and take the "Ann Coulter Quiz." It's funny, in a sick way.
