" But would you actually know a "real Republican" if they came up and bit you? "

----------------------------

Silly. Republicans don't bite. Actually, liberal neo-commies don't bite either, they just yap and growl a lot but they usually end up biting themselves :)

Old gramps use to joke about Democrats a lot. he'd always say something like "don't worry about their teeth, they won't bite. It's their hands you have to watch! Always watch their hands, especially if they're trying to pat you on the butt!"

Ailes claiming that Fox News has real "journalists" is a huge stretch of the truth, also. Ailes would have been right at home in the propaganda office of the Third Reich, along with all his minions like O'Reilly, Hannity, Coulter, Limbaugh, Boortz...

Also, claims that the rest of the media is "liberal" are a bald-faced lie, as well. They are all corporate shills, nothing more. They advance whatever the corporate goals may be, which are neither liberal or conservative. Fox News is simply farther right than the rest, that doesn't make the rest "liberal", just less sleazy.

The Edwards campaign has made an interesting move to gain attention. He'd like very much to be the Democrat nominee and needs a lot more attention in order to accomplish that goal.
The intensity of the debate over bias accusations regarding FOXNews is also interesting. What are the examples of bias ?
I find Bias in all the networks. The difference is that most are biased in favor of the Democrats and FOX is the exception.
What is the Edwards team afraid of ? If FOX is that bad, wouldn't they want to have an opportunity to demonstrate an obvious prejudice?
What am I missing here?

Yea, I'm old enough to remember the real ones. But it is an old memory.

Well, it's all moot now... on the Reuters RSS feed:
"Nevada Democratic Party officials said on Friday they were canceling a presidential debate co-sponsored by Fox News,....."

This, after the Fox chairman Roger Ailes admitted Fox news is biased in its reporting against Democratic, Liberal or Progressive politicians.

'Bout time they woke up and smelled the roses.

Who told you Fox news is first in the ratings, FOX. Just because it is Cheney's favorite channel does not make it so.

I am not a Republican. Edwards is not my choice out of the three pre-candidates Democratic Party. It might be a mistake, as Fox claims. But if so, only in terms of possible political gains. Edwards is right in declining Fox's invitation. Dignity must reign over possible political gain. Fox has shown its bias for quite a long time. Its slogan of balanced and fair is a joke. Its claim of journalism is false, unless journalism is re-defined to fit Fox conspicuous bias. Edwards should be emulated by Hillary and Obama.

It never fails. When liberals cannot win an argument (see FoxNews rating vs others)

If a network existed that was totally biased to the left there can be no doubt that a million or two 'far left nutcases' would sit glued to the tube watching it 24/7. Such is the case with Faux News. They have a very loyal audience with the far right wingnuts and nazis. The rest of Americans (including 99%+ of the republicans) surf the channels.
