- Not convinced. I see whimp-out for the old guy now. He was a pilot that got shot down for goodness sake. Sure he had horrific time as a POW, but since his return his capitalization on his military career is evident. I do not see him leading any big rally. I want a real *buster to run, and so far, I don't see one.

- McCain is Hillary Clinton's mirror image. They are both willing to say or do whatever it takes to get one more vote. They both suck up to whichever group(s) they perceive either has or is gaining power.
Unfortunately for McCain, he got his nose too far up Bush's anal canal while he was "supporting the troops" (catering to AIPAC) and is now stuck with that poor choice forever more, throuhout history.
Neither of them can win a national election regardless how much camera time they get or money they raise.
They are known commodities and voters do not consider them qualified to be president. Neither of them is going to become more popular, so where they are in the polls now is the highest they will get. And, will most likely decline once their marginal supporters wake up and realize it's a lost cause.
McCain and Hillary need to step aside and stop indulging their fantasies and egos. - Reply to this comment
- Musty you must be out of your mind. McCain spent time in a North Vietnamese POW camp. Wimp out when things got tough? No way. In fact I think he'd do a great job being our president, as he might not care what people think of him, because he's been in much, much worse places than the seat in the White House. Yes the Iraw surge isnt popular, can't we all agree we want our military folks home? Yeah, I thought so. And so do I. So we should go in there and kick the hell out of them and leave that stupid place. General Douglas MacArthur said "It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it." and he was right then and right now. We should win this thing and bring our folks home. If they revert several years later to killing each other with roadside bombs, so be it.

- Mccain is a big frightful. I am afraid he would whimp out when things got kind of rough though.
The surge is highly supported in this part of the country. But then northern California isn't excected to support the real world - Reply to this comment
- At one time I was a supporter of John McCain. Certainly he would have been a better president then the lying, incompetent, intellectual midget who now occupies the Whitehouse. John McCain%u2019s rush to embrace the rightwing and Bush%u2019 foreign policy blunder in Iraq, illustrate his desperation, hypocrisy, and perhaps political suicide. The rightwing sandbagged McCain in the South Carolina primary in 2000. Now, McCain has seen religion and become a chameleon by reversing himself on abortion, gay rights and other issues not approved by Jerry Falwell, and Pat Robertson. Bush%u2019s surge in Iraq is both strongly opposed by the nation and supported by McCain. This may be turn out to be the final nail the McCain campaign%u2019s coffin.

- I was a big McCain supporter the first time he ran but he has abandoned much of what made him attractive in his rush to the conservative rightwing. He, like Romney, show they have no real convictions other than their willness to change what they say they believe in order to get elected. That makes them ineligible for my vote. Have the guts to say what you believe and stick with it, regardless of the results. Might not be smart politically but its more honest.
I'm prefer Richardson at this point but not sure if he has a chance at anything but vice-president. - Reply to this comment
- Funny thing is. Giuliani was hated by most on 9-10-01. People are just blinded by 9-11. In fact if you ain't popular after 9-11 (Bush/Cheney) then you're really a screw up!

- Appeal for Redress
Sign this Appeal.
This site is an Appeal For Redress in support of our mission in Iraq.
An Appeal For Redress is an authorized means for active duty military to submit a grievance to Congress. It can be signed by Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard military personnel.
It is authorized by DoD Directive 1325.6 and DoD Directive 7050.6.
The wording of the Appeal for Redress is:
As an American currently serving my nation in uniform, I respectfully urge my political leaders in Congress to fully support our mission in Iraq and halt any calls for retreat. I also respectfully urge my political leaders to actively oppose media efforts which embolden my enemy while demoralizing American support at home. The War in Iraq is a necessary and just effort to bring freedom to the Middle East and protect America from further attack.
If you are active duty, reservist or national guard, please Sign this Appeal.
Most service members fully support the war in Iraq and feel calls to retreat by Congress and attacks by our media on our conduct and mission act to motivate our enemy while demoralizing our support at home, directly increasing the threat we face and resulting in greater American casualties. This Appeal for Redress provides a way in which individual service members can appeal to Congress to fully support us and actively oppose media attacks on our mission and our morale.
This Appeal will be delivered to members of Congress.

- billy,
McCain has previously released all his medical records, including his military records. They clearly show his injuries from that time period. Anyone can manufacture a website and post a bunch of garbage. Are you really that gullible?
PS: I am not a McCain supporter. But I will not slander like you have. - Reply to this comment
- Look how much Clinton and Bush both aged while in the White House. Torture may not have aged McCain but, by my calculations, if he spent 4 years in the White House, he'd be 108 years old at the end of the term...and instead of seeking a 2nd term, he'd welcome a little torture.

- Jim Finster would you be happily hugging on the people that supposably cruelly tortured you like McCain is doing in these pictures on this website???
