Could Former VP Go From The Red Carpet To The White House? Backers Hope So
- Tell me something, because an issue is embraced by the democratic left does it automatically become questionable to the right wing conservatives? Are you really willing to bet the future of your children on it? Even The president has acknowledged there is a problem with global warming. Most scientists agree we have a problem developing. Its not here yet. The United Nations acknowledged the problem as well.Is there really harm in reducing the harm we are causing the earth? Before you answer, look at your children do you really want them to suffer because of your blind hatred of those "pinkocommiepussyliberals"? they will pay the price. I will be dead before all this transpires. so listen to your Rush limbaughs and glenn becks After all they too make money off you as well. hey and if we are wrong you right wing conservatives can say, "I told you so". but isn't it better to err on the side of caution? even if the whole warming thing were to be off base that still doesn't cancel the fact that we are the biggest polluters on the planet. That fact is not in dispute. I only write this for those who are willing to open their minds and to relieve my own that I did "Rage against the dying of the light"

- BIGDADPATRIO, I love reading blogs from people like ummmm, yourself! (See, I could have called you anything in the book, but I'm better than that. I'll let you p_iss down your own back. People read, people know). Secondly, I love it when people, such as yourself catagorize all Democrats as LIBERALS! Do you even know how many types of liberalism's there are? Bet you didn't even know there is CONSERVATIVE LIBERALISM!!!!! Thirdly, "evidence". There's no "evidence". "evidence". Where's the evidence?...Sounds like the "Where's the Beef" lady, God rest her soul. Ok, the fact is then, some politicians are better at "lies, *** and videotape" than others. That is a political fact. Plain and simple, some are better criminals than others. But, none are honest.

- By my count, the Bush administration has violated or compromised the 1st, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Amendments of our bill of rights since taking office. OUR RIGHTS! That should concern you conservatives, but I never hear a peep out of you (after all Bush is "protecting our freedoms," you see...). I guarantee you that if any Democrat had sold out our rights in the same way, you would be ready for impeachment - and rightly so!
I'm mad as hell and I'm taking my country back! - Reply to this comment

BIGDADPATRIO,
Actually, Al Gore won the 2000 election by 500,000 votes. The Florida recount, after several false starts, was never allowed to be completed, so we will never know whether he won that state. The Rehnquist Supreme Court declared Florida for Gore and effectively appointed George W. Bush to the Presidency in a 5-4 vote on December 11, 2000.
I do not for one minute, believe that Gore would have ignored a memo stating BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE INSIDE US. We know Bush did. And will you PLEASE TELL ME HOW BUSH HAS PROTECTED AMERICA FROM FURTHER ATTACK?? HOW???!!! The Department of Homeland Security has been giving us orange and yellow alerts from time to time and security at airports is tighter, but are we always focusing on the right people or things? The hurricanes slamming into the Gulf coast in 2005 showed that the United States is ill prepared for a disaster, natural or man made. And FEMA , well, FEMA has been effectively neutered as part of Homeland Security. I would say we are LESS SAFE than we were on 9/11/01. - Reply to this comment

Oh and about those terrorists rights? The United States signed the Geneva Conventions, along with each update stating in 1882. The U.S. ratified all but two protocols in 1977. We did abide by the rules set out until Bush became president. Since then, not only has he violated the GC, but at least five of rights in the Bill of Rights have been compromised or violated.
Please spare me the "my country, right or wrong" b u l l s h i t! You people would not support Bill Clinton, right or wrong....and I certainly don't blame you, because that is your First Amendment right. Just don't call me a traitor when I call Bush an idiot, because it smacks of hypocrisy!- Reply to this comment
- and, by the way, the honor of the worst President ever will probably go to Carter, or one of the Presidents in the early to middle part of the 20ieth century. Bush will probably make the top 5 or 10, though.

- All this hubub from a guy with a 20 room mansion that burns up 30k per year in Elec/Gas bills.
Gore is so transparent. He discovered the internet too, right? - Reply to this comment
- Al Gore is a hypocrite of the tallest order. In his Mockumentary, "An Inconvenient Truth," he calls on people the world over to conserve energy. Yet Al uses 20 times the average user in America in his home in Nashville, TN. Paste this link and see for yourself!

- AND, dallison7, your last comments shows just how ignorant you are. First of all, Bush may be a *******, but there is not one iota of evidence to PROVE he lied about anything. Second, the Republican controlled Congress balanced the budget, NOT Clinton (also, the President can not spend monies, the Congress spend monies). I love reading blogs like yours and similar thinking liberals, as they show just how far left and how extreme your thinking is, and just how ignant you are.

- Scott4261, If Algore had been elected (and, by the way, he WASN'T, he LOST) our country would have already seen another terrorist attack even worse than 911, because he, and those who believe as he does, would not have had the balls to stand up against terorism as Bush has done (and I'm not talking about the Iraq war) as he would be more worried about the rights of the possible terrorists than he would innocent Americans. Gore's a LOSER and always will be.

- Honestly, irrespective of whatever faults Al Gore may have, how can anyone say that he would not have made a better president than George W. Bush has been? The only ones who are still hangin' on to the Bush wagon are the nutjobs riding with W right over the cliff! It boggles the mind.

- I for one would love to see Al Gore run for president. He could do so much more for global warming if he were president. He is well liked and could bring this country together. Just remember if he had not had the election stolen from him in 2000 how much better off we would be. No illegal war in Iraq, no billions in debt and the rest of the world would not hate us.And he has lots of experience, something this administration is sadly lacking.

Seems Al Gore has a very close relationship with Occidental Oil Company who like to kick indians off their land to steal their oil and were directly responsible for the Love Canal tragedy...
---
At least he doesn't have any oil tankers named after him; like Condi Rice - GWs main squeeze on the side that referred to GW as her husband in a verbal 'gaffe'.
Also, even though Gore is now filthy rich at least he isn't trying to eliminate the inheritance tax. It's OK to be rich and powerful. As long as you have a brain and aren't a greedy, ignorant, arrogant, cowardly jerk like GW Bush. - Reply to this comment
- Go read the interview with Gore Vidal who is a respected historiand about his cousin Love Canal Al Gore. If you do a search for it I believe it is called "Inconvenient Truths About Al Gore"

Here we go again:
Another do gooder hipocritical Hollywonk. I just learned today that Mr. Gores' energy monthly bill in his Tennessee mansion is around $1300 a month." You do as I say not as I do " He uses about 20 times the Kilowatts per day that the avarage family does.

- Then there was this little event called World War 2 which started in 1938. By 1940 Europe was placing huge orders for wartime goods from America. And THAT started to pull us out of the Depression, not the Socialist Path that FDR started us down.

SORRY, WRONG AGAIN!
The Works Progress Administration (later Work Projects Administration, abbreviated WPA), was created in May 1935 by Presidential order (Congress funded it annually but did not set it up). It was the largest and most comprehensive New Deal agency, employing millions of people and affecting every locality.
It continued and expanded the FERA relief programs begun under Herbert Hoover and continued under Franklin D. Roosevelt. Headed by Harry L. Hopkins, the WPA provided jobs and income to the unemployed during the Great Depression in the United States. It built many public buildings and roads, and as well operated a large arts project. Until it was closed down by Congress in 1943, it was the largest employer in the country %u2014 indeed, the largest employer in most states. - Reply to this comment
- And I would still rank FDR as the best president of the 20th century, with his cousin, Teddy, occupying the #2 spot.

- Oh, I know FDR wasn't the last Democratic president to be labeled a Socialist. That would be Bill Clinton. And I'm sure the next one, whoever he (or she) may be, will also be called a Socialist. You guys are like a broken record.
