VP Refuses To Take Back Charge That Speaker's Anti-War Stance Emboldens Al Qaeda
- New news article: WASHINGTON (AP) - Dozens of high-level officials joined in a White House drill Saturday to see how the government would respond if several cities were attacked simultaneously by the type of the roadside bombs used against American troops in Iraq.
Can we guess what the next "disaster" might be? Personally I'm betting on a different surprise for this administration - an earthquake maybe since that's not on the mentioned practice list.

homespunlady,
As I said to start the thread on that article, "Let's pray to God that never happens!" I beleive that we have been d a m n lucky that it hasn't happened in the past six years. I am certain that we are lees safe than we were on 9/11/2001. - Reply to this comment
- "You also have to be accountable for the results. What are the consequences of that? What happens if we withdraw from Iraq?," Cheney said.
Did he say, "ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE RESULTS?"
Look's talking about accountability!
For a guy who's taken no responsibility for bringing the country into a senseless war, for causing the carnage in Iraq, for the deaths of over three thousand young Americans...
Shouldn't he be asking "What happens if we invade Iraq?" four years ago?
Cheney has to be the Ultimate Master of Deceit and Death. - Reply to this comment

- Lieberman181, Can't do it can ya? Can't have a conversation without saying I'm a "liberal" in a way that suggests that you are trying to spit poison out of you mouth. Can't help but bring out your old tapes about Kerry, Bryd, Clinton, Kennedy, whatever you can find in your arsenal?

- hmm..Lieberman181 avoided answering the service question. Black ops maybe? Probably doesn't know what that is although diversion from uncomfortable truths might indicate some paid connection. Hope so, hate to think he really believes the stuff he's spewing. Let's at least agree on one thing. we need to get Bin Laden. ANY diversion from that is Just a diversion. I believe Bin Laden is a Sunni from Saudi Arabia with a terrorist training camp probably still in Afganistan despite our effort in that country. I also believe 15 of the 19 identified 9/11 conspirators were Saudi Arabian. I don't recall a single conspirator as Iraqi. Afganistan's heroin poppy production is at an all time high and the Saudis are sticking it to us yet again through OPEC. Some of those profits have been admittedly funneled to Al-Queda and the Sunni insurgency. Wouldn't it make sense if we targeted the things and people that are admittedly contributing to killing our troops?

- I secretly wish for simultaneous impeachments of D i c k Cheney and George W. Bush. Nancy Pelosi would then be President. I'm sure that many wingnuts will then look like Linda Blair from The Exorcist at that point!

- 70% of the country, Scotty? What a laugh.
This country, despite the last election, is growing more Conservative than Liberal. You talk about facts, little one - get yours straight. Even Liberal pundits decry that fact. If Botox Girl and Prune Face Harry do anything that jeopardize the safety of our troops or surrender to Islamofascism, they will be out so quick as Daschle was that your ignorant little head will be spinning!
As for taking our country back? Which one are you talking about? Pakistan? Iran? South Africa? North Korea? Syria? - certainly NOT the United States of America by any longshot, Scotty. If you tolerate a KKK Byrd, or a Cliton who waged an ILLEGAL war against Yugoslavia yet did nothing about Bin Laden, or a Kerry comparing our troops in 'Nam to barbarians, not to mention Murtha or the Cuckolded Shrill Shrew, or Botox Nan and Steppin Fetchit Osama, oops Obama - this isn't your country.
But North Korea and Iran might be. - Reply to this comment

- Lieberman181,
I am very well-educated and I know my U. S. History. But I will not wade through your insults. I won't do it. If you can have an adult discussion, we can have one. Otherwise, I will ignore you.
And know this: I love my country too and I am proud to be an American, but I also beleive that Bush is the worst president in the history of our great land. And last itme I chacked, the First Amendment still grants me the right to say that.
When you are ready to step up to the adult table, let me know. - Reply to this comment
- homespunlady,
A lot of these right-wing bloggers go straight to Bill Clinton's pant as a way of getting the upper hand in their arguments. The only problem, as I have pointed out before, is that many of us who are to their left (which is abotu 70% of the country at this point) are not really Clinton apologists. I have openly criticized the mistakes that I believe Bill Clinton made as President. Anyway, all of the Clinton talk is to take the focus off of George W. Bush's total incompetence. This fits in to their US vs. THEM, politics as sports, mentality.
I am sick of all of this divisive b u l l s h i t and I'm taking my country back! - Reply to this comment
- When you and your side choose to express yourselves in an intelligent and civil debate, which you are incapable of doing for many reasons - besides not having any sense of history, then I will too.
Until then, I'll enjoy sticking it right back at ya.
As for Scotty, the feigele, sorry boy, but I don't know what country you're talking about. Mine is the United States of America and it has been in GREAT hands since 2000.
I shudder to think where we'd be if hypocrite lady's friend Hanoi John, or AlGore, or Cuckolded Shrew were the CIC on Sept. 11, 2001.
Oh, they'd be claiming it was a law enforcement issue... - Reply to this comment
- Lieberman181,
Spoken like a true Bush apologist! And BTW, I try not to win arguments by throwing insults, but if you want to tangle with me, you'd better have your facts straight. Because I can see right through the propaganda. - Reply to this comment
- Namecalling simply indicates an inability to debate in an intelligent and civil manner. Please read before assuming - I did include Bill in the list of elite avoiders. There are just so many MORE elite republicans to list. By the way, what service did YOU belong to?

- Speaking of wingnuts, Scotty, how's Miss Lewinsky these days? Seems you ought to know.
Oh, maybe not - you're too busy s-c-r-e-wing Mark Foley, or was it Brenda Frank.
No matter, just more BS and hot air from another Islamofascist apologist and surrender monkey. - Reply to this comment
- Anything to try to help your team win, right? You'd rather carry water for them than to ever admit the liberals were right all along, right? Real patriotism...I see.
But you keep drinking the d a m n Kool-Aid.... - Reply to this comment
- You wingnuts have gotten about as much mileage as you are ever going to get on Bill Clinton. In fact, your boy, W, has really s c r e w e d the GOP pooch! Bill is looking preety d a m n good by comparison!

- Another hypocrite - homespunlady.
First she says she listens to all views before deciding. Then she decries the lack of "rules of engagement" - that is, when it comes to the other side, not hers - which is the side of Cuckolded Shrill Shrew, the Illegal cheerleader known as Botox Nan, Steppin Fetchit Osama, oops, Obama, KKK Byrd, and Hanoi John - not to mention traitor and crook Murtha.
She applauds Kerry - for what? For comparing our men and women who served in Nam to behaving like Genghiz Khan? Guess you should applaud General Arnold too, lady, - he won the battle of Saratoga for America, much more than Hanoi John ever accomplished.
You also demonstrate your "fairness" when you join the rest of the bozo fascists and surrender monkeys in bashing President Bush and the Republicans. You claim you served in Nam, rightT? Tell me, did you find Bill Cliton over there, or Hillary Rodham? How about that Illegal hiree Botox Nan. Or Prune face Harry?
Again, hon - no carping or craping about "rules of engagement" unless you show equal fairness. If you can't, then stay away from the fire zone. - Reply to this comment
- Guess what - it's true, been there & done that except it was Vietnam when I found myself with NO CHOICE. Didn't see George there - OH, HE was in College I was too poor and lost a top scholarship for lack of the $100 difference - Chump change for George or Bill or 5 time deferrment Cheney! Kerry won my admiration for being there and that Freudian slip; the Republicans my disgust for their obviously holier-than-thou hypocracy. The day I see top elite Republican Kids in Iraq I'll believe they are really committed to this power and oil grab for better reasons than sacrificing the poor and middle class on the alter of their greed and twisted power lust.

I submit the following Demoncratic support for our troops, Senator John Kerry from Massachusetts said it all with his statement--"Stay in college, get an education or you wind up in Iraq". Tried to pass it off as a joke. He said exactly what he was thinking.
How about some more jokes Senator? - Reply to this comment
