Kuwait is an ally of the US, lars. That means that one country comes to the aid of the other if attacked....

Because you have to put aside selfish desires and pull together for the kids who signed up and are over there dying. They don't have the ablility to question orders....

Not wanting to see our warriors wasted is not a selfish desire.

How can someone say that they support our troops and yet have no problem with weeing them wasted in boondoggle?

I said "meddling in their internal affairs", lars. Invading another country is not an internal affair and you know it.

Sometimes I wish that there was a giant "FLUSH" lever on all of Washington, D.C. A few decent folks might get swept away, but by-and-large the net result would be worth it, IMHO.

If you believe in your heart that an action is wrong, how is supporting that action good for the country?

Posted by formrusmcsgt at 03:01 PM : Feb 22, 2007

Because you have to put aside selfish desires and pull together for the kids who signed up and are over there dying. They don't have the ablility to question orders....they signed up, maybe for college, maybe for training, who knows. But they are there. We owe them our unified support.

When you had to drop some private for doing something stupid, did you do it in front of everyone or in private? And I'm not talking about boot camp stuff....I mean stuff that really mattered.

If you don't like the war, vote the politicians out.....but don't undermine the authority of the president and the will of the people in front of the rest of the world and our enemies while your brother sand sisters are over there dying. *********, it's just not right!

Yes, the evening's young & both party's are fighting amongst themseles,,, But seriously, Guiliani is too inexperianced & more liberal than conservitive, McCain flip-flops everytime his party tells him to.... Don't trust any of them & I won't trust dems either, but so far dems have the field & the ball.

Lars,,, Gulf War 1 was absoultly correct & a real victory for our troops.. That stopped Saddams nuclear program.

wasn't that for the kuwaiti's to fight.... or for the regional countries to fight....

Actually, no. I was not in favor of this even back when it was being discussed. My feeling was we should have gone after bin Laden. We could have dealt with Iraq anytime we wanted to. But, we don't get to make those decisions. The man pulled the trigger and that's the way it is.

Posted by bigwhtpony at 03:00 PM : Feb 22, 2007

So you didn't support it in 2003 but you support a continuation of it year after year?

I do not follow your logic on that, bro.

the GOP can no longer be trusted for any of thier nominations... They will only give us another Bush.

Oh, I don't know. The evening is still young. Someone may show up at the party that will knock your socks off! :) I'll maintain a wait and see attitude.

Lars,,, You can't draw any comparison at all between Gulf War 1 & this one. Nor can you compare it to WW 2 or Viet Nam.

Even when Clintax started his play pretend stuff in Bosnia, as much as I disliked him personally, I stood behind him for the good of the country.

What's good for the country is to do what's right, not that which is wrong.

You support invading and occupying a country that had not attacked us as a means of further our best interests, right?
