History repeats itself again. Seems the same as when they stopped funding the Viet Nam war and left our boys to die in a foreign land in a battle they could have won if it was properly planned. Today, more Americans are killed by illegal aliens here than our boys in Iraq, current rate is more than 30 per day. Seems politicians don%u2019t care about that. Democrats took control of the house and senate based on a plan of %u201Ccut and run%u201D in Iraq.

Democrats who voted for this war to begin with should now be prepared to accept responsibility for defeat in Iraq, BECAUSE THEY STILL HAVE NO PLAN TO SUCCEED IN IRAQ WHATSOEVER.

Earlier this week, Hillary Clinton stated an outright %u201Cno%u201D to invading Iran, and that was a safe thing to say, seeing that the Pentagon says that is impossible anyhow because of terrain. Politicians always seem to have something superior, yet safe to say in order to grab media attention%u2026 Good thing politicians didn%u2019t talk like that during WWII, or the whole world would be speaking German.

This is the type of thing that happens when freedom is handed to others on a platter. They don%u2019t know what it%u2019s worth until they have been in the battle for it themselves. Iraq is learning.

The neocon Bush philosphy of using American military might to change and influence the Middle East has failed. Our only hope is for clear heads to guide this Nation to negotiation and cooperation with these nations.

All this ranting from the right won't change anything - the die is cast and the BUSH WAR will soon be over. America asked our military to fight Al-Qaeda, not to nation build in Irak. We gave Bush four years for his "slam-dunk" falsely pretensed war - IT IS OVER ! Next step - funding block for any esclation.

The way to stop war is to take the profit out of it. We should forbid anyone who has worked in the defense industry from holding public office. That's just about everyone in the current administration. That's just for starters.

First we get evidence, THEN we impeach. War crime is serious business. Nice to know we hold the president up to criminal standards. The reich wing WISHES the administration were ONLY incompetent. Terrorism is small potatoes compared to ERRORISM.

matvei1107, The only thing Congress can do at this point is either pull funding or withdraw approval. Either of which would lay responsibility for any future problems in the region square in their lap. They are not willing to take that responsibility on. They want to micromanage the military using opinion polls and leave any chance of failure square on the back of the President. They're gutless.

110TH CONGRESS
1ST SESSION H. CON. RES ll
Disapproving of the decision of the President announced on January 10, 2007, to deploy more than 20,000 additional United States combat
troops to Iraq.
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
Disapproving of the decision of the President announced on January 10, 2007, to deploy more than 20,000 additional United States combat troops to Iraq.
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That Congress and the American people will continue to support and protect the members of the United States Armed Forces who are serving or who have served bravely and honorably in Iraq.

Congress disapproves of the decision of President George W. Bush announced on January 10, 2007, to deploy more than 20,000 additional United States combat troops to Iraq.

This doesent mean anything. Who are the Democrats trying to kid here? Looks like symbolism over substance to get their votes. Or as we used to say in the Clinton administration, more "Feel Good" legislation. All this is going to do is prevoke mor blind liberal rage.

The liberal left, for aghast at the thought the we, the United States, have offended the Euro-trash elitists, pass a non-binding resolution that tells the resat of the world our Government is in shambles and ripe for the picking.

The "Paper Tiger" that Osama Bin Laden spoke about is now reduced to a "Tissue Kitten".

I hope that Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, and the rest are ready to explain what will happen to us when we surrender the Middle East to the extremists. In truth, anything negative that happens to America or her citizens is just that much better for their political careers.

What a pack of idiots. The Dems are practically joining sides with the enemy. How shortsighted these lefties are. Power, that's what they care about. Your freedom, don't be silly. Conrad Pelosi would just as soon sell her country down the river. The next strike on this soil will wake up a few.

I laugh when I read the drivel from you lefties. You couldn't carry Bush's jock for God's sake.
Do you think a little rebuke is going to stop him? Go ahead try to impeach George, the country will turn on you, I guarantee it.

Are you kidding me. Majority rule? If that were the case there would be no Rowe V Wade. Women might not have the vote. The majority of this country wants things that would not be liked by the rest.
BTW...are you all so silly as to believe because the left has a slight advantage in congress that things would change? The Prez has powers he hasn't even used yet.

The Incompetent-In-Chief was a consistent failure even before his presidency. He dug himself into holes and kept digging, but the Saudis pumped money like oil to save his companies and buy a future president cheaply.

I suggest that his "gratitude" to the Saudis keeps him from making the Saudis stop giving everything the Sunni need to kill our troops because 95% of our KIA are Sunni victims. 5% of our KIA fall victim to the Shia, but he pitches a fit about Iran supplying them. His "gratitude" cannot extend to allowing the death of Americans even without a "quid pro quo."

He has consistently chosen to ignore the greater threat, like alQaeda, OBL and the Taliban in Afghanistan and now the Saudi's support of the deadlier force in Iraq's civil war, the Sunni.

Alternately he's attacked the less threatening alternative like diverting resources to the non-existent threat in Iraq and now to Iran's support of the less deadly force in Iraq's civil war, the Shia.

Dumbya needs to support for our troops. He must insist that his friends, the Saudis stop giving the Sunni whatever they need to kill our men and women in uniform. SAUDI backed SUNNI have KILLED more than 2,800 AMERICAN soldiers. Follow the Money, it's too often relevant.

MSNBC headlines - "Officials: Baghdad Violence Drops". Now just earlier this week the headlines were reading that Iranian weapons were being used in Iraq with deadlier results. Now are they talking about the number of incidents are down or the actual body count itself? The Pentagon was bragging about how many individuals these Iranian weapons kill at one time compared to the regular and usual IEDs encountered. So, do we have here a play with words?, or more of the weekly Bush administration propaganda that we see?

I'm sure that Bush is very embarrassed, and ready to turn over a new leaf.
