The Repubies are just ensuring a larger Democratic majority. They were in the minority for a long time for good reason.

So I say- Let them block the people's business, and they will be destined to be in the minority for a long, long, long time!

The American people spoke volumes in the last election. But some in Congress are too full of themselves to understand we don't elect people to represent THEIR beliefs but the beliefs and wishes of their CONSTITUENCY!

Truth is: this Administration wants the American public to live in fear.

That is also the primary goal of the Islamic terrorists. Bush and company just does a bettor job of dispensing fear. Maybe Bush is the worlds number one terrorist.

Sounds like Boehner gets the same briefing that Dumbya gets.

Evidenced by "... It's that simple".

Two things that come to mind with this so-called "war on terror":

1) Iraq had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with 9/11.

2) 15 of the 19 hijackers came from Saudi Arabia.

On #2: the last time I checked, the U.S. is still cozy with the Saudis. And why is that? Could it be that the Bush family has close ties to the bin Ladens and the Saudi royals? Could it be that they will help the U.S. take a larger share of the worlds oil?

Could it????

"This battle is the most visible part of a global war" against terrorists, countered the Republican leader, Rep. John Boehner. "If we leave, they will follow us home. It's that simple."

Unfortunately, many still buy into this notion. Kool-Aid drinkers are all over this site. And I have relatives who voted Democratic for the first time in a number of years this last election who still believe this.

This corrupt administration has made the fear of terrorism the centerpiece for the Republican get-out-the-vote campaign. Truth is: this Administration wants the American public to live in fear. After all (in their warped perception), when we are afraid, they win. This is straight out the NAZI playbook:

"...it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."-Hermann Goering, Nazi

All the people that said-
"It's going to be a cake walk"
"We will get showered with flowers"
"Mission accomplished"
"They have WMD"
"They have a nuclear weapons program"
"They attempted to buy yellowcake in Africa"
"Iraqi oil revenues will pay for the war"

are the ones now saying "The terrorists will follow us home". I don't buy it. They have been wrong on everything else, so why stop lying now? The American voter is easily fooled.

I can hardly wait. I keep track of the LIES and misrepresentation of Sir Lies-A-Lot when he attempts to conduct Press Conferences. There was ONCE a time when he could pretty much dictate to the press what questions he'd be asked and who would ask them on the very rare occasions he agreed to answer questions. Those days are long gone so this is going to be FUN! It's aways fun watching one of these Southern Fascist try to make sense to thinking American's. LOL

Wasn't Boehner one of the republicans that knew about Foley and didn't follow up on it?

Pelosi says the check book is closed to bush but she won't close her legs.

"Bush is going to say again that you are either for us or Against US and helping the Terrorist and not supporting the Troops if you disagree with his Iraq policy."

Of course... And you can rest assured that there will be at least one implication that the Iraq war is connected to 9-11. You have to remember that a good portion of the GOPer base is completely plugged in to the FOX propaganda machine. They have no clue what is going on in the real world or that 9-11 ties to Iraq have been thoroughly debunked. I talked to one of these Fox/ Limbaugh ditto heads recently. He still believes there were WMD's... I would have laughed my azz off if it weren't so tragic.

O.K. let me get this in before the GOPer echo chamber chimes in. Granted Bush seldom takes a good picture, but surely that picture is evidence of the MSM wolfpack liberal media bias. O.K. now that the conventional righty blather has been taken care of, you may proceed with substantive discussion and/or comment.

Rep. John Boehner. "If we leave, they will follow us home. It's that simple." It has become frightening that we have politician's running the country who are honestly this dumb! This bunch has sailed on the "Good Ship Lollipop" before! How they can spout such slop with a straight face makes you wonder what they have been smoking on their breaks! That phrase is one of Bush's more infamous lies! One that even a simplton has a hard time buying! It comes close to the WMD's and the Saddam/911 connection! It looks like not enough housecleaning was done last election! The nut case John Boehner is still around!

This conference is Bush trying to get out in front of the Iraq debate in the House of Representatives. Bush is going to say again that you are either for us or Against US and helping the Terrorist and not supporting the Troops if you disagree with his Iraq policy. That is the Argument the Republicans are giving, Bush also is giving and he figures if he can tie Iraq to the war on terror he stands a better chance of getting his policy past the elected officials. Bush is phrasing the discussion to where if person disagrees with him or his policy they are not supporting the troops! The best support for the troops is to remove our troops from this Iraqi civil war and cut off funding for this war crime Bush has perpetrated upon America, Iraq and the world! American electorate rejected the for us or against us sound bite on November 7, 2006 when they threw out of office Republican war supporters, thieves, and pedophiles. Bush has not come to that understanding as yet but will when America cuts off funding for the war and throws out the rest of the Republicans in 2008. This will be interesting. We will see if Bush is smart enough to remember which reporters his handlers tell him to select with their prepared and 'approved' questions. I'm betting the whitehouse staff expects him to blow it, look carefully for the bulge on the idiot's back.
