Does anyone else but me notice that Obamasama got WALL-TO-WALL CBS coverage for his announcement? In fact, we got an Olympics style background "love fest" on the man and his wife days before his announcement....almost like the countown for the New Year's ball coming down in Times Square.

Romney gets a little pic and a 1 page unflattering dossier. I remember his race against Kennedy......Kennedy had to invoke the names of his dead family members as a last ditch attempt to imply that MA OWED him the job due to the sacrifices of his family.

Is CBS biased??? Nahhhhhhh.......

It doesn't matter. This guy will be brought down by his fellow conservatives. His candidacy is doomed because he will never win over the ultraconservative right.

His religion will become a central issue in the campaign if he gets very far. His conservative opponents will find a way to bring him down with it. He won't make it through the GOP primaries.

Are you guys the same folks who said that the fact that Keith Ellison is a Muslim has no bearing on his ability to represent his district? Are you the same folks who were unconcerned when he swore in on a Koran?
The left wing double standard has become so obviously transparent it would be funny if it weren't so dangerous.

Besides, the ultraconservative Christian right will never support a Mormon no matter how much he kisses their @sses. Without them, he hasn't got a chance unless he ran as a Democrat or Independent.

As far as the "underlying beliefs of mormons," well, why don't you first look at Harry Reid and Orrin Hatch as examples that Mormons aren't beholden to church leaders, else how would you have people on both side of the aisle?

It was once said we'd never have a Catholic as a President, as well.

Anyone who believes that an angel handed Joseph Smith the Book of Mormon in the form of gold tablets and that it later burst into flames destroying the evidence is too nutty to run the country. Sorry.

Besides, the ultraconservative Christian right will never support a Mormon no matter how much he kisses their @sses. Without them, he hasn't got a chance unless he ran as a Democrat or Independent.

Romney has zero chance of capturing the nomination. Talk about an easy target!! Once the 'swiftboaters' get wind of the underlying beliefs of mormons it will be a bloodbath. Mormon beliefs are so bizzare that the cult keeps some of them as secret as possible.

Romney does appear to have the support of a very important constituency: lobbyists and "influential GOP lawmakers."

Just another plutocratic GOPer hog at the trough.

The question I'm asking EVERY person who wants my vote this year is simply, where do you stand on the Will of the People? DO the people have a right to end a War? If I get a wishy washy answer I'll know that person is in the hip pocket of the Neocon's and the Religious Reich. Being one of gets them a NO right off the Bat. At that point they might as well forget any chance of getting my vote.
Don't send our kids off to die selling DEMOCRACY and deny it to their family and fellow citizens. That is NOT acceptable PERIOD!!
