Multiple Resolutions On Bush Troop Buildup To Be Debated Next Week
- In 1969 General Westmoreland asked for 206,000 more troops in Vietnam to finish the job. That brought the troop level to 525,000. Did we win? Instead we sent home 50,000 Americans, dead. The president is playing Russian Roulette with the lives of American soilders. Even today we hear that the troops do not have body armor, guns, armored vehicles. Quit the politics, and think about the loss of one more son or daughter to their families, and for what, the ego of a few.

Here you go. LA Times 12/5/01. Written by Mansoor Ijaz.
Clinton had repeated offers from the Sudan between 1996 and 1998 for the extradition of Bin Laden. The author should know. He was involved in the negotiations. Due to political ineptitude on the part of Clinton and his administration, the offers were never accepted.
The actual original internal documentation is probably in Sandy Berger's socks. - Reply to this comment

- Forty years ago, in another country called Viet Nam, we had an army of 500,000 men fighting an invisible enemy. What happened? WE LOST! Today, we have an army of 150,000 men fighting another "invisible" enemy; and you know what the result of that is going to be, no matter how many "surges" you have! Bush, obviously, never had time to take American History in college, or if he did, he slept through it. At least Johnson, and later Nixon, 40 years ago had the sense to talk to his enemy about ending the thing. Bush won't talk to anyone except somebody who agrees with him, like Cheney or Karl Rove!

- More of the same blame Bush, blame Clinton garbage, the article is about a win for the good guys. Of course if you are a blame America left wing defeatist then an intense smokescreen is the only way to deflect the fact that the terrorists latest plan was defeated. The left refuse to believe there is a radical threat so they must place blame at home or there world doesn't make sense.
What good does this "It's the Liberal's" fault help? These loser's have been spouting this *** for how long? Look anyone with a Brain KNOWS that 65-70% of this nation IS NOT Liberal and those folks spoke LOUDLY on election day. This *** of "We're superior and can Ignore" the Will of the People had better stop and SOON. If you losers think you can ignore the voice of the American People you are truly more stupid than Richard Nixon. This is a FAILED Policy, Bin Laden IS NOT in Iraq and we need to deal with the Attack on us... to bad the NeoCon's plan's didn't work but that's THEIR problem. - Reply to this comment

You seem to not believe anything you can't agree with politically. Look it up. Its fact. You're in a state of denial that Clinton could, and should, have eliminated this enemy early.

I did look it up. It did not happen. Just didn't. - Reply to this comment

How was the kool-aide?
Posted by mbcsmith at 01:36 PM : Jan 31, 2007
Now this is what's know as a "cheap shot" or otherwise it would be if this person knew what they were talking about and used this correctly. The kool aid refers to the juice that the poison (cyanide) was mixed in during the mass murder/suicide of followers of Jim Jones in Jones-town Guyana in the late 1970's. It usually means anyone who is some involved in the cult they support that they'd even kill themselves for it. Sort of like the average hillbilly, rednecks that support Bush. - Reply to this comment

When Bin Laden was offered up to Clinton/Albright their response was a polite no thank you. How things might have been different!

Now this is what's know as another lie. Bin Laden was never offered to Clinton. It simply did not happen. Again this may just be a case of ignorance caused by too much FOX "News". Shame. - Reply to this comment
