- Mbcsmith,, If Bush wouldn't have diverted Troops & Resources from Tora Bora or launched his war on Iraq the wrong dam country,,, He would have defeated al Quaeda,,, But that's old news you ignore. THE PROBLEM IS BUSH - NOT CLINTON

- My plan is to fight the Islamic radicals before the battle reaches our soil. The Dems plan is to leave, and hope for the best. I'm not saying one plan is better than the other, I'm not saying going into Iraq was right but we did and now the radicals are there, they understand that if freedom is not stopped in Iraq then there barbaric ideology could not exist. Either you believe the war against the terrorists is real and we fight them wherever they are or you believe it's some grand government conspiracy to help corporate America, oil, etc and America is ultimately to blame. I choose to believe the twin towers were brought down by airplanes flown by radicals that are hell bent on destroying us infidels and if we retreat now it will send a clear message of weakness and certainly embolden them.

How simple of you. Had he taken the offer & extradited Bin Laden for the embassy bombings, 3000 New Yorkers would still be alive. - Reply to this comment
- Looks like a good start, but im not sure why the debate is winding down when its hardly started.
A combination of the McCain-Graham and Dodd proposals would seem wise, although a nonbinding resolution is like being a little bit pregnant.
Perhaps the payment to congress for this work this month from the American people should be "nonbinding" paychecks to their representatives?
I must go, i have some nonbinding construction work to do on an imaginary house I'm working on... - Reply to this comment
