Just because the Democrats gained the majority by the slimmest of margins after the last election, that does not signify ALL Americans want to cut and run from Iraq. If you truly looked at the polls MOST Americans want stabilize Iraq before we leave. These new plans are an attempt to do just that. Only a few in congress think an immediate withdrawel is the answer.

Bush and Co are afraid of losing their oil over there, think not...

Care for a few pointers? George W. Bush, 1978-84: senior executive, Arbusto Energy/Bush Exploration, an oil company; 1986-90: senior executive of the Harken oil company. *** Cheney, 1995-2000: chief executive of the Halliburton oil company. Condoleezza Rice, 1991-2000: senior executive with the Chevron oil company, which named an oil tanker after her. And so on. But none of these trifling associations affects the integrity of God's work as Bush put it to go there and HELP those people. If Saddam didn't have the oil, he could have torture his citizens to his heart's content. Other leaders do it every day - think Saudi Arabia, think Pakistan, think Turkey, think Syria, think Egypt.

Repeating the same lie over and over again doesn't make it true, in spite of how the White House thinks since that's the sum total of there press policy. It's simply not true. Deal with it and move on.

Here you go. LA Times 12/5/01. Written by Mansoor Ijaz.
Clinton had repeated offers from the Sudan between 1996 and 1998 for the extradition of Bin Laden. The author should know. He was involved in the negotiations. Due to political ineptitude on the part of Clinton and his administration, the offers were never accepted.
The actual original internal documentation is probably in Sandy Berger's socks.

The Democrats will never hold the majority in congress if they do not take decisive action to extricate America from Iraq. No smoke screen of a gradual draw down or four year plan introduced in the summer of 08 will do. The American People voted for immediate change in Iraq policy and expect to see their wishes materialize. Congressional members that let three American Soldiers die a day during political indecisiveness is criminal, and is not worthy of another term in office. The Republicans will do what ever they have to in order to stop the Democrats from getting America out of Iraq.

This was a result of his theft of documents from the National Archives, while he still had top secret clearance.

This escalation of Iraq combat has not been approved by Congress and the President does not have the right to escalate the war. It is time the Iraqi people took responsibility for their own country. The President%u2019s stated reasons for war with Iraq in the original mandate from congress does not apply and has been proven false on every point, at the cost of 3 American lives a day and two billion tax dollars a week. Congress must act to stop all funds for this war now and bring our troops home. November 7, 2006 was a mandate to stop the war in Iraq and the Culture of Corruption in Washington. What great things could American domestic programs do with two billion dollars a week we are spending in Iraq?

You guys just ignore the truth about all of your political "heros"... all you two party simple minded idiots can do is go on about how bad the other guy is and how your criminals are better than the other sides criminals. What a bunch of dimwitted fools.

If it wasn't so sad it would be comical. They act like they're sitting in a stadium rooting for their team and no one is intelligent enough to stand up and look around for the people that are sponsoring both sides.

Didn't happen. This story has been disproved so many times that it's entered the realm of a fairy tale.
