It's colder than a witches *** out there right now, I welcome global warming, I hate cold weather. Just think how much less pollution there would be if people didn't have to artificially heat their homes. Just think how much I and millions of others would save on our heating bills if it were actually true... fact is it's colder than fvck out there right now.

As for greenhouse gases, Canada emits more than us. Look it up for yourselves.
Posted by janem4 at 12:31PM

Janem4 follows the neocon playbook perfectly. Her statement is a LIE. Canada does not emit more greenhouse gases than us. For janem4 it is an inconvenient truth that U.S. greenhouse emissions are nearly 10 TIMES Canada's which is the exact opposite of her statement. The U.S. produces higher greenhouse gas emissions even though the production in Canada of 23.5 tons per person is more than the 23.4 tons per person in the U.S. Our population of nearly 10 times their results in the higher emissions by the U.S.

Her statement attempted to tell part of the truth to serve as a lie. As with her apparent heroes in the current junta in DC, it is necessary to parse any statement for what it actually says and not the impression of what it says. Had the "per capita" been included it would have been accurate, but it wouldn't have the desired but untruthful impact.

This confirms one aspect of Bush administration and Republican congressional leadership's orchestrated War on Science.

Interesting stuff here. Global warming is real all right.....even on Mars and Pluto. I wonder if the Bush Administration is covering up information that America is responsible for this also? :)

A democracy has no hope without a separation of political from professional information. The unfettered ability to tell the facts as they know them to the political level is the foundation on which rational and correct decisions can be made. Although political decisions that overrule professinal advice can still be made, - without the professional advice and facts - bad decisions are inevitable and all accountability is lost.

maybe if the U S looses a few cities it will smarten up those *** holes in washington who think they are running the world, but the good people in the rest of the world will suffer. When are the U S people going to get the yellow streak out of their backs and stand up for what is right?

I AGREE with rharrin1 in what he said "bush is not blamed for the weather he is blamed for not responding to it after he was warned, you know just like Iraq HE DOESN'T LISTEN!" I believe EPA needs to step in and knock on our goverment doors until they answer! Our goverment is spending alot of time and money on things other then the issues or problems that need more attention and interest. They need to do something before things gets worse or to a point where its to late and won't be able to do anything at all!!

America in the throes of the most arrogant group of fascist swine (Rethuglicons) that this country has seen since the early 1950's. Note the posts on this board coming from the arrogant cons, who get their news from the likes of Fascist Fox News, hosted by Bill O'Lielley

A former oil lobyist is empowered by the administration to redact scientific reports.

The administration was obviously not interested in the science behind the reports or they would have given someone with scientific expertise in the field the job.

So what were they interested in? They were interested in censorship, that's what. And we're not talking about a movie here, we're talking about the future health of the planet we must all share.

The obvious neocon intent was to keep the public ignorant of the ill effects of carbon fuels so that those fuels continue to be sold without the competition from a wide-spread call for replacement fuels that do not poison our planet.

Another neocon family value for sure. But not your family or mine, but rather, the petrochemical family who pumps major money to the Repubs.

one_american is like the band that kept playing while the titanic sank.

There is NOT ONE peer reviewed study done in the last ten years that does not point to global warming as being real, catastrophic, and caused by man.

And no, Limbaugh, Hanity, and O'Reilly are not climatologists.

So does TV "news" cause retardation and moral ineptitude because many Americans lack the intelligence to distinguish reality from fiction, or are they just easily pacified by presidential lies that make them feel safe and cozy?

FACT: The Confederate States of America were founded by Democratic (and Classical Liberal) secessionists who had a problem with a Facist Republican.

Keep the facts straight there, Yankee, and we won't have any problems...
