This country is at war. As a former marine, thank you for your service, how do you reconcile the libs " we support you but not what you are doing"?
This is ONE of the most hypocritical and disingenuous platforms of the libs. - Reply to this comment

- nyckate It won't do any good to try and tell Leibermann18 and his ilk anything! They have been so brain washed by Georgie they live off in 'LA-LA Land' with him! He is Joseph Goebbel's prized propaganda student. He has bought into the lie and now believes it to be true! I have saw to many people like him in the country who will still be believing it on their death bed! Because they don't have the guts to admit they were conned and screwed by a President!

- The administration would be well served to admonish Secretary Gates and anothers so that similar comments are not made in future.

That would be akin to Hitler admonishing Goering for calling all those who did not support invasion and war "unpatriotic".
In addition to your point regarding democracy, I'll add the administration's obvious efforts to undermine the elected government of the Palestinians. Hammas won a clean election but the administration doesn't approve of the winners.
So much for supporting democracy. The message this administration sends to the world is one of hypocrisy regarding democracy. - Reply to this comment
- It is a contradiction in terms to profess a commitment to democracy in Iraq, whilst suggesting that those who exercise their democratic rights at home are "emboldening the enemy."
The administration is wading into very deep and tricky waters here. You cannot "embolden the enemy" and be a patriot at the same time. The clear underlying inference therefore is that those who dissent are traitors.
Comments such as those by Secretary Gates strike at the very heart of our democracy. He must surely realise that the congress and senate have a constitutional obligation to exercise oversight and scrutiny over executive decision making. To, in effect, challenge the right of the legislature to perform its constitutional obligations is to undermine the democratic process and threaten our system of government.
It is somewhat tragic that nearly four years into this war, the administration still prefers coercion to consultation. One can only but conclude that this policy of labelling and scaremongering is a deliberate attempt to suppress any evidence based argument and opposition.

Calling an obviously incompetent administration just that is not whining.
It's called "facing facts".
You obviously have no problem with the administration being incompetent as you wish to give them a passing grade anyway when all their efforts deserve an "F".
Tell me about the administration's diplomatic successes over the last 6 years.
Tell me about the administration's improvement in relations with our allies over the last 6 years.
Tell me about the administration's successes in dividing our enemies over the last 6 years.
Tell me about the administration's careful use of our resources and troops over the last 6 years. - Reply to this comment
