Comments on: Centrist Dem Leader Slams GOP "Hypocrisy"
Harold Ford Jr. Says Republicans Don't Practice What They Preach
- Husky, I stand corrected, DORF did not say that exactly. But what he is doing is typical political bs by constantly refering to the "republicans"....where he SHOULD have said "republican Politicians"...do you see what I mean....

More conservative hypocracy. You only believe in evolution when it serves your purpose. Otherwise, kids rode to school on the backs of dinasaurs 6,000 years ago... - Reply to this comment

- "Read the article again....look up the definition of "truth" in the dictionary..."
tiddsandbeer,
Contrary to your arrogant assertion, I can read and I do know the definition of truth. Although I suspect yours is a little more flexible then mine. So it's the liberal media's fault once again? Blaming the media is getting stale and doesn't play across America like it once did. Your interpretation of the truth here serves your purpose. Ford doesn't as you say "presume all GOPers are Christian." And he tells you up front it's his opinion. It's the same opinion that most Americans now have and it played a role in the November elections. What opinions shouldn't be reported? I'll give you an "A" for creative thinking. - Reply to this comment
- Yes, frankly, I am, although I am a sinner, just like you. I know you want to hold my name tidds....up as an example of MY hypocrisy....thats ok. Maybe I'll pay for it someday...but you or HAROLD DORF will NOT be my judge. My real name is John, by the way.
One more thing, Just because your a f'n left wing loon, doesn't mean I "hate you". There is no sweeter vengeance than complete forgiveness.
I wish you luck. - Reply to this comment
- . So while Bush Flew the family of Bin Laden out of America after 9/11 and did not hold Saudi Arabia Accountable for the 15 of the 19 Hijackers that Attacked America. American Vice President Cheney jumps on a plane at the beckon call of the House of Saud and kneels before the Leader of Saudi Arabia promising that America won%u2019t leave Iraq. Meanwhile President Bush disbands the Secret Unit Hunting Bin Laden and put in Afghanistan Jails all the Bounty Hunters who have been hunting Bin Laden, but he feels free to pull out the threat of the Boogie Man Bin Laden when ever it serves his purpose in an attempt to scare the American People into giving up Civil Liberties. The Slam Dunk, Mushroom Cloud Intelligence Chief gets a medal and Promoted to Civilian while the No Actionable Intelligence, National Security Director gets promoted to Secretary of State and Insults the Countries of Iraq and Syria so much that she cannot negotiate with them to stop the War in Iraq that the Bush Administration started upon False pretenses. Now the war cost 3 American Soldiers lives a day and two billion dollars a week has been so mismanaged that Bush is having a hard time finding Army Military Yes men to handle his blunders to the point of he has to promote a Navy person to oversee the two land wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Does anyone in America think we should not impeach this Administration at a minimum or worse?

- Huskerarmy, Seeing Dorf quote the bible and make "interpretations" and even state "he thinks" this or that about the bible and then presuming all republicans are Christians is OUTRAGEOUS! Read the article again....it's an OPINION piece. I'm sad to say that I AGREE, however, the hypocrisy of the right is front and center in the news, thanks to left wing media. But the left is JUST AS BAD.
Husky, look up the definition of "truth" in the dictionary...it is enlightning. The truth to one man does not have to be the truth to another. therefore, this man is the biggest hypocrit of them all, professing to tell ME what I believe is the truth. - Reply to this comment
- chadi7,
it Jr's uncle who is awaiting trial. I understand his father moved to FL or somewhere when he became a lobbyist. There were discussion during the campagin regarding JR serving on the Fannie Mae committee and SR being a lobbyist, but it never seemed to be a serious issue. - Reply to this comment
- The GOP supporters find something to whine about on every article. The thing is they never enter into debate or supply examples to prove their point, it's always name calling or whining about the "liberal media".

- "As for the "nasty" ad run by the GOP that was pulled after a short time, well I guess nasty is in the eye of the beholder. I for one didn't find it offensive."
O.K. Jane then why did they pull it? Perhaps because they knew that reasonable people would find it offensive. And why did they run it in the first place if they weren't willing to stand behind it. At least you have the courage of your convictions, no matter how wrong you may be. - Reply to this comment
- janem4 - I believe it is Pres. Bush that began the faith based co-op programs, announcing it at one of our prominient AA churches in Dallas. You are correct that most of the time you see politicans at AA churches, that is because from slavery to the civil rights movements of the 60s, the AA church was the only gathering place for the AA community. However, I believe the Moral Majority and others in the late 80s and 90s made faith/politics an art form.
Personally, I do not have a problem with leaders who allow their faith to impact their daily lives, otherwise it is a hollow faith.
Fartknocker, his father was indicated, tried and acquitted years ago. His uncle is currently under indictment - but hey don't let little things like facts interfer with your tirade. I cannot for one minute believe the DLC would not have double checked that Jr is not in any way under a cloud. I also kinda doubt the Governor would invite him to serve as a mentor in his newly announced state program. Not to mention Vanderbilt's job offers don't normally go to imminently indicated folks - just my guess. - Reply to this comment
- fartknocker,
Sr. is under investigation but I've never heard anything about Jr. being investigated. Sr. was caught taking bribes by an undercover sting operation conducted by the TBI. As far as Jr. playing the race card, I have never (and I'm from TN so I watched the election closely) seen Jr. play the race card. For him it was never an issue. Corker never said anything about it either, only the media mentions race when Jr. is involved. As far as playing the religion card, he did do that quite a bit. But it was no more than Corker did. Everytime I hear Jr. speak I thought him to be quite honest (and actually Corker seemed quite honest), but they are both politicians so you can't completely trust them. - Reply to this comment
- Stupid Wya went hiding at I think was Bob Jones University trying to pull all the Bible thumpers votes and he got them. He could care less about them, he just used them. He's hid behind the Bible from the get go. Mr born again moron

That's it righty, conjure up stereotypes, question the character of the messenger and expose the lie. But what exaclty isn't true about what he said? - Reply to this comment
