Vice President Says It's "Hogwash" To Say Bush's Credibility Is At Stake In Iraq
- I know very well what "Simper Fi" means. I also know what very well what a Fascist is. I've lost relatives in the Holocaust, which a lot of your fellow Lefties hope and pray will be extended to Israel. (liebercrybaby)
Now I understand this guys virolence - The holocaust! Like Nethanyahoo said a few days ago: "the world who allow the holocaust to happen must sancton Iran"
In libersissy world everyone is guilty too, especially if you speak out against an illegal war in Irak, apartheid in Palistine, neocon pre-emptive wars in Syrai and Iran. All of which is supposed to be in Israeli interest (most likely not). liebersissy read some Noam Chomsky or Norma Finkelstein, they're Jooz too and they know what's what. - Reply to this comment
- Stainrat,
you want a logical and reasonable response to comments. Good, you asked why he won't go with the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group.
To begin with, this group was unfortunately headed by Jim Baker. Baker, contrary to all of those who scream "Halliburton" - is big Oil. Even before he was big Oil he questioned the existence of Israel. Don't believe me, read about him and his college thesis. Baker is one of those who would be happy if the Oil flowed no matter who was shipping it - Al Maliki or Osama.
The group made recommendations, including a temporary troop surge and training that made sense. However, they coupled that with Israel making all kinds of concessions so that Assad might become a nice guy. He never was and never will be. Sacrificing Israel or the Iraquis for a dialogue with Iran isn't good sense - nor is it very American. And again, the bottom line for Baker is Oil, screw morality.
You want more, I'll be glad to answer why the ISG's composition was unfortunate.

Lieberman -- congratulations. You actually made a credible argument without, and I repeat without, being rude, without being disrespectful, and without name calling. Whata' guy! - Reply to this comment
- Stainrat,
If you are there, I invite you to peruse the comments being posted. Still relatively mild, but there's some bite.
If they get out of hand, do you plan to report them? - Reply to this comment
- A patriot of this country should not decide cold-bloodedly to sacrifice not only those who've died over there, but the millions of Iraquis that chose to vote for a Democratic government - even in the face of bombings and murder.
If we abandon such a people, and there are stories of whole families wiped out because they wanted a better Iraq, then we had better start questioning our own future as a country.
And again, there's the Halliburton comments. Will the Neo-Con one come up next? - Reply to this comment
- It is laughable that Cheney would call anything out of line after the job the republican party has done on other people. I guess the republican party should be renamed to the Double Standard party. Always ready to use out of line on others, but don't touch us!! So ridiculous to watch Mr. Smear and Sneer making a comment like that.

You're not actually serious, are you? What, raising the troop level didn't work the first two times, but a third time is a charm? Hmm, let's use the same strategy used in Vietnam, maybe that will work? Please, this is a simple smoke and mirrors tactic to keep Halliburton in business as long as possible. You are being lulled with patriotism to blindly follow Big Brother. Be a patriot- but be a patriot of our country, I am also a patriot, but when you smell a rat, even if it is the Pres and VP, it is still merely a rat. - Reply to this comment

- As i read these posts I can't help thinking about the history lesson this nation has refused to learn. We fought and died in The 2ns World War for the elimination of Fascism and Hatred. Now here we are hating yet another race of people and re-embracing discredited values. Remember why John F. Kennedy the last real president was assasinated! He saw that our country was going the wronf way and wanted to turn us in the right direction. Read his books and listen to his speeches. Harry Truman once said "that the only thing new, is the history you don't know."

There is legitimate dissent, and there is dissent just to make noise, or be obstructive - and yes, treacherous.
The President wants one last chance to stablize a country that actually is 90% stable. Just one infusion of troops - didn't Kerry, McCain and others say that the forces were too small? - to quash the terror in Baghdad and in Anbar. And yet, people on this site are actually calling for his assassination! People on this site non-stop blame the Neo-Cons (a euphemnism for those JOOZ), People on this site claim that they would support ops in Afghanistan, yet if you go over to that story, many of the same want us to turn things back to the Taleban.
