Comments on: Cheney: Senate Resolution "Won't Stop Us"
Vice President Says It's "Hogwash" To Say Bush's Credibility Is At Stake In Iraq
- This resolution is non binding, so what's the point?
The president will ignore them, the troops are going over.
All this resolution did was tell our troops, we will ship you over, we will give you the money, but you are going to "fail", you are going to "lose", you are on a "fools" mission.
It also emboldens our enemies because it points out how divided we are. -----Bottom line--our troops just got kicked in the "as$" by congress.
If congress cut off the money, not only will they be "kicking" our troops ,they will be KILLING them! - Reply to this comment

Yes I did serve but I know you didn't by the way you talk.
cheney DID NOT HAVE A HEART CONDITION AT THAT TIME...
bush was supposed to take a required physical that he did not take so he did not live up to his contract he was supposed to be inducted as it was the law PERIOD
Don't talk like a idiot when you don't know what you're talking about KEEP FLAP SHUT. - Reply to this comment
- Obviously Mr Cheney doesn't respect the American people who placed he and his boos in office. He obviously didn't care what the past elections and the defeat of many republicans meant. I'm starting to think that impeachment is starting to sound pretty good, followed by a lengthy jail term in San Quentin. If anyone is unpatriotic, Mr Cheney and his boss vie for the top spot.

Wouldn't consider him a neocon, though. He has lately tried a little too hard to appease the far right, but just a misguided, old school conservative, not a neocon. - Reply to this comment
- It wasn't us who interfered in the MiddleEast, jimibear. It was the Europeans, if you look back into history. It was us, Americans, who helped them set up their oil (black gold) industry, however. And it was Us, Americans, who helped their economy boom through our addiction to oil.

- Cheney clearly paints the picture:
U.S versus 'us'.
For six long years, the hyper-hawk right-wing business ****** have been raping this country. When anyone makes a stand against the corruption, they bully, threaten and whine.

How is this different from Bush calling himself a Christian and saying we have God on our side? - Reply to this comment
- changeit4, that was very well put.
I disagree with only one thing: almost everyone is capable of thinking and learning, if guided to do so. Telling people otherwise (as I did earlier, which was a mistake) only angers them and makes them shut you out.
Ylang, I ask only that you consider what I said. I assure you, I haven't lied in any of it. All politicians, including Bush & Co., are to be regarded with suspicion. Bush is, in my opinion, worse than most because of both the actions of his administration and the skeletons in his and his family's closets.
I have little doubt, though, that if I were to research Democratic politicians with the same vigor, I would find similar unsavory facts, and when a Democratic administration is once again in power, I'll be keeping a careful eye on them as well. - Reply to this comment
- Jimibear, do you see BinLadin anywhere? Why do you think we don't see him anymore with his AK-47 in a video nowadays? Saddam was developing WMD-he may have given it to Syria for safekeeping, who knows? Would you rather find out that he had WMD AFTER he launched one on our country? Saddam was given all kinds of opportunities to come clean with his WMD. Besides, if you're talking about history-Saddam invaded his neighbors and had wars with them because he wanted to be the Main Kahuna in the MiddleEast. And you think he wouldn't be capable of having WMD's? Invading Iraq was RIGHT-wmd present or not. We have to get rid of the Iranian/Syrian elements there and enable Maliki's democractic government to take root. No theocracy either like what Iran now have. Theocracy will kill Democracy because it is INTOLERANT of other religions or beliefs.

- doubt history will treat this president or this government kindly. But the reality is that there is no appropriate or acceptable way in which to withdraw.
The grievous loss of more than 3,000 young Americans and the wounding of more than 23,000 demands that we leave Iraq not as we recklessly entered it, but responsibly and with the establishment of rational and effective policies that will guide our future relationship with Iraq and all of the Middle East.
