The evolutionary process reasons change as an inevitable necessity if an organism is to survive or adapt to his/her environment. So, therefore, as an evolutionary necessity blacks need to change their schema of the old antiquated discourse of bastardization and oppression [overt] to a more modern version of bastardization and oppression [covert]. I can certainly see your point.

OK, so I don't confuse myself, white master rapes African slave, produces *** child, sell *** child on the auction block, which, in turn, sets a course of events, black men and women have been socialized to render themselves as breeders, by which, for all intents and purposes, has become redundant behavior of their social/sexual discourse. Now the tides have changed and white America wants to change the script, denouncing bastardization scolding blacks for this illicit licentious behavior and demoralize them because of their [white] previously held standard of bastardization, and castigate them for having multiple children out of wedlock, this is called institutionalized schizophrenia.

Now because of the PTSD affect, descendants of African slaves have been systematically programmed, like %u201Coperant conditioning%u201D, to become that which their white oppressors pontificated, lazy, feebleminded, sexually licentious, etc., etc, this is called learned helplessness.

But, evolution dictates and according to %u201CSocial Darwinians%u201D only the strong survive, so therefore, those blacks that have not adapted to peripheral environmental change, merely superficial, are %u201Cthrowbacks%u201D, this is called an oxymoron.

Higher ordered thinking or primordial thinking, I wonder, although 400 years has passed, logical reasoning dictates individuals are products of their environment, and as it is easier to change one%u2019s behavior than cognition, elements of one%u2019s environment has to be conducive to change, in order for re-conditioning or behavioral modification to take affect. Now are we there yet???????

The United States was not the only country that practiced slavery, black and white. Africa practiced slavery as did every other country and continent in the world except perhaps Antarctica. The whole world should apoligize to every person of every race and religion for practing slavery in the past and in the present and end it. There are still slaves in the world, even in the United States and it really is time that it ends. No apologies need. The blacks enslaved blacks and whites in Africa, still do. The whites did the same as did the Asians and the Native people of everywhere and still do. So everybody deserves an apology but that doesn't work. To be forgiven you must quit doing it. So I agree, get over it and work on stopping it all over.

Part 2.
In Africa some groups not only bought and sold other groups like cattle but also ate them like cattle. What determines right from wrong always depends on who%u2019s making the determination.

If all the posters on this site were living in those locations 400 years ago a majority of them would believe the same way because they would not be aware of today%u2019s evolutionary changes

We have reached this time in human history through the process called evolution, a word that to some on the religious side holds only bad connotations.
To judge today%u2019s society by the standards accepted 400 years ago and trying to hold them responsible for something they did not have anything to do with is preposterous.

We are slowly improving as a race and hopefully in the not too distant future will reach a point where racism and bigotry will seem as antiquated as actual slavery does today.

It would behoove us all to concentrate more on the positive changes the American citizens of all colors-races have effected over the past 200 plus years rather than passing legislation, mostly for political reasons, to force an apology and recompense for the past which clearly creates more racial bias and debate as witnessed by the responses to this article. ---Not enough time to get into the anti Semitism debate.

Part 1.

Our evolving society (world) yields both good and bad results. If you go back far enough into the past you can find situations that make American slaves look like a privileged class by comparison.
The bad parts always seem to stand out more than the good. Someone pointed out earlier that black people should be glad that their ancestors were brought here as slaves. This is particularly clear when you consider that their ancestors could never have entered this country any other way much less become eventual citizens with full rights.

Similarly; a person (any color) is reflecting on his/her situation in life. They have an adoring spouse and a couple of beautiful kids. Then they remember that they were born because their mother became pregnant from being hideously raped and tortured by a terrorist. Their first thought is they would rather to never have been born than to have their mother go through that. Then they think of their two kids and immediately have a change of heart. There are always good/bad, better/worse things to consider

Black Americans have benefited greatly by the actions and deeds of white Americans just as white Americans have benefited greatly from the actions and deeds of black Americans

400 years ago, many other members of the human race in both the old and new worlds considered black Africans sub-human. Simple properties to be bought and sold like cattle. continued:

We can still see the racists around here ... and those are the same people, who advocate "get over it".

This is just the reason that this issue needs to be discussed ... not just sweep under the rugs ... it is obvious, we still have dark ages people around us. right here.

You all leave Humancitizen alone, he/she is simply exercising his/her rights as a "proud paranoid pathologically neurotic white American", who advocates "white pride" and racial segregation.

Our black folks should just get over slavery this has become so redundant, it's like a broken record, over and over again, spouting the same nonsense, and stop blaming the white man for everything that goes wrong in the black race.

Stop blaming the white race for all your ills, black women having multiple children out of wedlock, and black men being nothing more than sperm donors, it's not our fault, notwithstanding, the "sexual discourse of bastardization" forced on black slaves. Sure we made breeders out of women and men, and as everyone knows behaviors are learned, so just get over it, and get some counseling, go talk to Dr. Phil.
