Sure we white folks have disenfranchised blacks, we had no alternative, we had to protect our own inheritance, surely "you people" should understand that.

And Jews, stop screaming anti-semantic, every time a KKK member states the Holocaust was a figment of your imagination; you know all those dead bodies in the crematorium were actually props, overdubbing graphics, visual illusions. And those soldiers, who marched through the concentration camps and witnessed the grotesque barbarianism, were merely actors trying to get nominated for a %u201CGolden Globe%u201D.

While I%u2019m at it, I don%u2019t want to leave Arabs out sure Europeans invaded Northern Africa massacring millions of Muslims, and gained control over the Suez Canal, likewise, our government sponsored Osama Bin laden and Sadam Hussein, it doesn%u2019t matter, you %u201Cbloodthirsty terrorist%u201D still shouldn%u2019t have bombed the %u201CTwin Towers%u201D, we have an imagine to uphold, we can%u2019t let you get away with that, oh by the way, Bush sends his regards.

And last Native Americans, I can call you that, Indians, I know Christopher Columbus went slightly off course, a little navigational problem, he meant to turn 30 kilometers East, instead of West, oh I get so confused, but anyway, sure Europeans invaded North and South America annihilating millions of autochthonous [indigenous] people on both Continents, suck it in, after all if it wasn%u2019t for the Europeans you wouldn%u2019t learned how act civilize.

You blacks, Jews, Arabs, and Native Americans, should be kneeling down on the ground and thanking us for kidnapping African slaves and bringing them to America, we taught you heathens how to act appropriately, and Jews you should smile every time a KKK member says hire Hitler, after all, the Holocaust really didn%u2019t happen, those millions of bodies were merely stage props, Arabs, I don%u2019t care if we once invaded Northern Africa, and massacred thousands, maybe millions, you still shouldn%u2019t have bombed the %u2018Twin Towers%u201D, and last Native Americans, what more do you want us to do, we%u2019ve given you %u201Cfishing rights%u201D and allowed you to open Casinos.

humancitizen is a troll. He/she/it doesn't believe anything he/she/it says. Her/his/its goal is to get a response. So she/he/it says the most outrageous thing he/she/it can think of, no matter what he/she/it actually believes, just to watch other people fall all over themselves with outrage. He/she/it is a pathetic little human being with no other source of entertainment. Sad really, though I'm sure he/she/it has a big future in republican politics.

Please don't feed the troll and it will starve to death.

We've all been paying for years. If a black person can't make it in America today then it's them with the problem. There's nothing keeping them from being middle class taxpayers for the next generation of victims whoever they'll be.

The bigots want people "get over" slavery and the continued racism; so they don't have to pay and pay for their continued sins.

The bigots of America want to enjoy the nice legacies of their ancestors (if there are any nice legacies) but they want to seek to escape responsibility for th the bad legacy of racism and the like coming down from their ancestors

It is never going to happen.
So may as well be responsible adult about it and PAY UP! LOL

Have you ever seen a black mother who doesn't think her son or daughter "did it". They mollycoddle their kids and never teach accountability then preach to them how "the man" is out to get them.

"god fearing, kind hearted" yet support the continued war of mass murder?

Yes, U-R-Kidding. LOL

Get over it and start putting your energy where it matters..convincing young unamrried women with childres to buy educational tools instead of foot locker for their kids, to start valuing the family unit (and father) and stop blaming everything you can on something that can never change. get over it. enough with the cliche' tired old excuses that keep your people where they have been since slavery..what happened after the 60's movement? is the black man any better off or does he just have more excuses to throw at people for his failures..thats sad..really..lets move on..take some pride and do better..hold yourself and others in yoru community accountable and maybe that will help influence racism more than having a state issue an apology for a 150 year old crime..my goodness.

No sir, i will not and cannot get over slavery. It is apart of my upbringing and my family history. You have a huge brand new museum dedicated to the Jewish people in Washington DC dedicated to their demise in Germany, They will never forget about their race of people and what happened to them nor should we. Oh let me guess, im black, and u still think im supposed to dance, scratch my head and say thank you Mr. Charlie!!!!!!!. GET REAL.........

ixoye - This is the most accurate summation of my intent!
Until we are able to discuss issues concerning ethnicity and cultural matters (I shy away from the word race, because I believe that we are all a part of the human race) America will continue to suffer under the shroud of inequity.

Some people want to play 'victim' in a liberal-guilt ridden culture that allows this indulgence and abuse to further their personal agendas. Posted by Hollywood453 at 04:47 PM : Jan 17, 2007

The bigger picture of racial reconcialiation is lost in this debate. Merely apologizing for something that happened in the past is part of a larger process. When the slaves were freed, the rest of America didn't really view black people as equal and free citizens as a group. Certainly not all black people suffered in the same ways across the country. And, Jim Crow laws of the south were more institutional abuse heaped on black people.
We should learn from what is happening in South Africa in terms of racial reconcialiation. There is an open forum that South Africans have had to air out abuses and have a national dialogue on the abuses of Aparteid. I would characterize the equivalent American dialogue as being no more than legislated and amended laws . And anytime the topic of affirmative action is brought up, then people try to characterize this as special treatment. I think affirmative action would be a part of this dialogue of racial reconciliation. And, we need real leaders, who understand that this dialogue needs to happen before we can tell people we need to move on.

"You need to learn that moving on from slavery doesn't mean tearing it out of the history books -it is a call to empowerment"
- I agree; and it is because I am empowered that I have the ability to discuss the matter openly.
"In fact, the story of arriving as slaves from Africa & overcoming obstacles to achieve freedom & success makes for quite an amazing ancestoral story for your children."
- Being proud of my forefathers accomplishments is not only a story I tell my children; it is the way by which I raise them and the lessons that I incorporate in their everyday lives. It does not mean that I should disregard the fact that I had to begin my families origins from the late 1800%u2019s as opposed to most ethnicities that can date theirs back to beyond their Great, Great Grandfather.
"Awww, poor you - it's all society's fault... just can't catch a break cuz of my skin color - again"
- It's simple to assume that this is the "poor me" syndrome but it also further supports my "pre-conceived" claim. African Americans aren't looking to "Catch a Break", or %u201Cblame the man" for any inaction taken by a single entity. Society does not constitute one culture or ethnicity, the fact of the matter is Americans are conditioned to believe and respond certain situations based primarily on skin color. The only way that this can end is to begin a dialogue where race is not the topic, cause, barrier, or undertone. But it takes more than a simple condensed phrase to do so.

Human C isn't engaging in debate. As most Kindergarten-ers know, that's just name calling. Not using your words.

However, HC does seem to have gone down for his/her nap now.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

The remarks made by humancitizen were extremely uncalled for. This person beat the filter established by the administrators of this site by using exclamation points and number ones in order to spell out an ignorant, at best, racial slur. I find this to be horrdily destructive to the productive discourse that needs to take place between these two racial groups in our nation. We should not allow certain members of any race to undermine the work that has been carried out by far more intelligent members of them in the way of bridging the racial gap we find evident today. This person's posts are deplorable and viciously abrasive, and should not be tollerated by those who would wish to truly bring the peoples of the world together under one common cause. Is there any way to get this guy banned?

So you think that people of today should absorb the debts of their ancestors on the basis of race... So I am racially responsible for what other white people have done before me. And that's not racist? All the while you scream about "the racists" - perhaps you ought to be looking in the mirror buddy.... you're the biggest racist I've seen on here yet.
