I don't think you are trying to force. I like intelligent conversation and it seems like your willing to converse with me :)

I am not attacking your faith and never have. I am attacking your insistence on turning everything into some rediculous battle of faiths. This is a political forum not a pulpit.

If you were sane enough to have a pulpit to preach from I imagine you would. But this is not your pulpit.

So get over yourself.

He only has two settings "God" and "More God". He will talk about politics only as a segway into his favorite topic which is, "I am a victim and the world hates me because I am a Christian".

I have not been on this post for all 34 pages, so I am wondering: what do you think of Pelosi? do you agree with what I said about her?

I do believe that jesus was a real person. I also think he was kind of like Martin Luther King Jr.

I don't mean to be disrespectful here.

What I mean is that he was a great man, who did wonderful things and tried to teach the world about peace, love and comradery. I think his depiction as the son of god is perhaps hyperbole...like some people do with MLK. They don't say he was the son of god, but perhaps they depict him as perfect in everyway even though everyone has flaws. Do you think that's possible?

Get over it. This is not some big athiest board. It's a board dealing with politics and current events.

Jesus said to get a life and stop preaching in here.

thank you! I will look at them. I promise. I am always open to learning new things and changing my point of view if rationality permits I should. :)

Too All,

the good news is that Pelosi is not some trophy woman just there and enjoying being first. I think she has proven that she is serious and can handle the tough responsibility of doing what the American people wanted the dems to do. I was wary of her at first, now though, I see she's no joke and I plan to take her seriously.

I did not mean to offend anyone. But the idea that I have rejected god is not valid. He simply has not been proven to exist and once he is in a way that is rational, I will be very open to understanding who this entity may be. For now, writings of him are treated like writings of any other god in my mind: they were a way to explain things--now we have science. There is no Zeus god of lightening, there is simply electricity and its relationship with the ground...things like that.

Ok big deal! Who cares? God bless America! God bless you! In God we trust! Whoopty dooo!

Now do you want to discuss the topic at hand or do you come here for religeous masturbation?

You have a one track mind. It's all you care about and all you see. Reality is not some 24 hour battle between Christians and Athiests. You are a colosal nutcase.

This is a sight news and politics. If the story above was about God or the Bible then it would be apropriate to have a discussion about that. It isn't so what is your problem?

I don't bash Christians and I am not an athiest. I bash you because your a nut who cannot have a discussion about anything without turning it into a Christian vs. Athiest thing.

There it was again! Jesus just said Amen he's a nut.

Lets look logically at this
1. We have a bunch of stories written by people who said god told them to write it
2. We have the bible and its claim that Jesus will come back and reward those who follow him
3. NO ONE has ever came back from the dead to tell us if Heaven or Hell is true...no one.
4. Near death experiences are delusional because you are dying and your brain and body are running on erratic hormones.

again, I'm not saying you don't have the right to believe this. You do. I'm saying I have the right to be rational and know that the bible is a book of mythology just like the stories of Greek, Egyptian, Buddhist and other philosophies.

There it was again..Jesus just told me you are nuts. Wow it was really clear that time. He said that people have tried to help you but you are beyond help. That you see everything through a hypereligeous filter and that you should be pitied and not hated because you simply can't help yourself.

no i did not. I found the website by accident. But it makes perfect sense doesn't it? We laugh at the egyptians and the greeks with their multitude of gods who controlled things like lightening.

In 500 years, people are going to be laughing at us for believing in a god that lets children die, rapists go free on technicalities and so forth. Saying god is imaginary makes sense to explain why he would let the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

If you look at the website, listen to the videos and are a rational person, you already know that what the website says is true.

I have no problem with someone who believes in god. you really should understand that you are believing in something that's not true, but makes you feel better. Feeling better is ok.

Have you read the story above? There is no mention of God and the Bible. How upsetting is that?

You know there are religious boards out there where people like you can stroke to your hearts content. Check it out.

Jesus just told me to tell you your nuts and that you and people like you would probably lynch him again if he came back.
