Iran TV says the US planned to rescue Saddam, what the translator says makes perfect sense, I'd be more inclined to believe this than what the Bush regime puts out in the media. - Reply to this comment

- NOBODY has all the answers and no one person can be constantly right -- as Bush seems to think he is. I actually did vote this time to send him a message and I think a lot of other people did too. I know it's just not as simple as that, but you would think it would cause him to pause and reevaluate the will of the people given the attitudes of this past election.
Believe it or not, I don't think Bush talks to Bush or to Pat Robertson any more than he would talk to each of our own hearts. I'd like to think that most of us are smarter and more informed than to believe that Gingrich, DeLay, *** Armey or any other past Republican leaders have looked out for our interests (working, middle class) any more than Pelosi might (or might not). This whole fight with conservatives vs. liberals is getting old. I'll bet most of the people on this blog are sick and tired of much of the bull *** being slung from either extreme. - Reply to this comment

Can you offer a good, solid argument why you feel Republicans hold a monopoly on virtues? I don't understand that kind of loyalty.
Last time I checked, I don't think I'd look for God, morals or virtues in the House or the Senate -- I don't care how many stained glass windows either of those chambers have. Seems to me they are all in it for themselves, minus a few dignified souls.
I think part of the problem is that many blindly follow party ideology as if it were a religion. I can't even agree with my wife 100% of the time, so why would I agree with a political party moreso? This Administration (at least until recently and since 9/11) has casted itself as our saviour, but they are not my salvation. They preach that they know better for us than we do, so just don't worry your little heads. Just like Rumsfield said prior to his departure, it's just too complicated so we ought to sit back and let them take care of it. That attitude doesn't sit with me whether it is a republican, democrat or any fox hiding in sheep's clothing. If I am going to blindly follow someone over the edge of a cliff again, they better be wearing a flowing robe with a crown on their head -- and I'm not talking Miss America or the exodus from a Grateful Dead concert. - Reply to this comment

(dependendants) That's a good word, I use it time and again to describe some Democrats that are still in diapers and cry like babies. - Reply to this comment

My guess is republicans will cut education, close more bases, deny medicare & possibly close the food banks our military dependendants rely on, & keep giving money to thier friends.

- It is attitude that makes you who you are.....
Your name says it all.......
I love my family, my god, and my country in that order. I feel sorry for people who just can't be happy. It is truly a shame.
I am happy to live here, have more good things to say than bad about almost everything, and have been successful through hard work and perseverance.
But it is funny how I can get you, with just a few words on some stupid blog.
Good luck in your endeavors, I hope you succeed.

Actually passerby2, you must have passed on by, Bleakview and I had some disagreements, and as he made his point, I also made mine....
or did you not read our whole discussion.....
kind of like the Dems, come in at the end, pretend you know what is going on, spout forth a bunch of media rhetoric and propaganda, and end the end, accomplish nothing. Did you forget the other half of the congressional seats are up in 2010....pipe down your time is limited...tick, tick , tick.....

Yeah attitude does make the person yurpallid, but I don't want to be involved in any childish bickering with anyone, especially a hypocrite. good day yurpallid. - Reply to this comment
- thg,, I don't know about that, we first have to uncover these shadow budgets thier running in every branch of government, & the actual cost of getting our military back up to resonible standards - might take another 20 years for that to straighten up - Then we will still be paying for the damage done in Iraq.
