exusmcsgt,
I know that, read what I say after that, Colin Powell advised against it, All I am saying let the professionals do their thing, the Army and Marine corp know about ground warfare.
Wouldn't it be nice if they talked to us, the guys who train, fight, and die, and hopefully listen.

Jimibear, I don't even hate Bush really, fact is Bush himself is nothing but a puppet.. Iraqis have a puppet government yes but we have the biggest one. The real people running the show are people like his Daddy and the Rockefellers and the other richest of the rich in the world... George Bush Jr. is nothing more than a FRONTMAN.

"If the U.S pulls out of Iraq immediately as the left wing blogoshere here at CBS wants, then what? What is the plan regarding the war against Islamic extremism? Do we fight someplace else? Do the terrorists now leave us alone? What is the Democratic plan? All we have heard from the left is the constant carping and Bush bashing. Well now that the left is in charge what's next? It will be interesting to finally see some positive results from the hindsight genouses of the left."

Well what's wrong with 'fighting' the war on Islamic extremism the same way we fought communism after we pulled out of Vietnam? We ultimately won the war against communism by staying strong on the home front with each and every citizen living a free life of democracy - it wasn't won on the battlefield (probably even couldn't have been won on the battlefield). We continue to maintain the dialogue with our enemies, try to help them out when we see opportunities, and just keep doing what we're doing . . . ever think that maybe it weakens us to have our best and brightest youth killed fighting an unwinnable war? And didn't some report a couple of months ago find that the war in Iraq was actually increasing the threat of terrorism back home? Guess what I'm trying to say is that 'pulling out of Iraq' does not equal 'doing nothing' - it's doing something . . . it's called establishing a plan for ultimately winning.

Gladly,
Once again, you see individuals that have lost touch with ground operations. I do give the President a kodoo for awarding loyalty, but he needs to talk with some true professionals, the problem is they are staying away from this fiasco. Why he didn't listen to Collin Powell, advising to leave Iraq alone, remember Saddam kept Iran in check, he's gone, and look at our new problem with Iran. What about listening, to Gen Shinseki, or ask Stormin' Norman? The present leadership are not ground oriented but bomb in back to the stone age. It has never worked, look up the battle of Monte Cassino in Italy during WWII, the air plan meant more soldiers from the British and Polish units killed because of the blunder there. Our problem is we don't pay attention to history.

Spot on. I was 100% behind Bush in this "war on terror" until he turned his attention on Iraq.

What is with the paranoa about Iran?

Americans judge Iran by what their President says instead of listening to the people of Iran. -- The Iranian President*s party lost ground in the elections last month

Imagine if the world judged America by what our President says?? - I hope not. Judging by Bush*s remarks, America is ignorant, arrogant and the worst threat to world peace in our lifetime.

Great thoughts! Surely with these new faces in this Administration, and this slogan "the way forward", and more troops to protect the Iraqi's, the American people can feel safe and secure.

The American public may as well decide that we will have to wait TWO MORE YEARS to have relief from this terrible (MORE OF THE SAME WITH A DIFFERENT NAME) mess. I try not to think of just how bad things will have to get before they get better. We sell our toll roads to foreign governments, grant benefits to illegals and lawbreakers above American citizens, bankrupt America by trying to sell Democracy with our treasury and the lives of our young soldiers, and , worst of all, destroy the freedoms and liberties our forefathers gave us in the constitution. All this in the name of FEAR, GREED, POWER.

I did hear that consideration is being given for non-citizens to enlist in the military, and they would be moved forward on the list for citizenship. I hope they can get their quotas!

All Americans should be concerned about that. And we should all be concerned that two "parties" who are really only faces of the same political machine have turned us against each other so effectively.

I don't despise Bush because he is a Republican (which he isn't, really) or a conservative (which he also isn't). I'm a conservative myself. I despise him because he is a liar, a coward, a warmonger and a murderer.
