It was interesting to read that Ford's biological father abandoned him as a baby and that he was raised with his stepfather's name. Years later, Ford to met his biological father, a well to do man, and realized how little the man cared for him. Perhaps he first learned the power of forgiveness by forgiving that man and moving on...its odd how often our leaders childhood experiences shape their adult behavior...

LET THE CREATOR BE FORD'S JUDGE....NOT YOU SELF- PROCLAIMED PREJUDGES. LOOK AT YOURSELVES AND YOUR SINS AND DO GOOD TO OTHERS RATHER THAN FINDING THE BAD IN PEOPLE.

At the time he pardoned Nixon I couldn't believe it and was very angry. Over time I came to realize that it was what needed to be done.

Yea he is dead. Another member of the Old School is now a good politician. Watched over Vietnam Exit, He was never elected, tried to tell America that Kennedy was shot by one shooter and a magic bullet that went through two people in three directions and came out a mans head. Then he pardoned one of the biggest crooks ever to serve in the white house until this nutjob we have in there now. He was given exclusive rights to a promotion for his service to the Rule America Gang.

Ford was also on the Warren commission that white washed JFK's death.

It was the right decision to pardon Nixon except for the fact that it cost Ford the 1976 election. If Ford had won in 1976 the Shah would still be in Iran and all the mess that Carter bought upon the world would never have happened.... from Sadat's murder to current day terrorism funded by Iran.......thanks.....Jimmy

Ford%u2019s pardoning of Nixon set the precedent.

At least Bill Clinton did not make a deal for his half-brother to make him president in return for the pardon.
