Sen.-Elect Skips White House Receiving Line; Rebuffs Bush Question About Marine Son
- I support my country allways but I support my government only when they deserve it. It's important to understand the difference.
People who can't defend the Presidents policies try to defend him by wrapping him in the flag or the honor of office in and attempt to place him above criticism. To insulate him from the consequences of his actions.
This President doesn't deserve to enjoy the honor of the office he holds. He has dishonored himself, his office, and his country in the eyes of most Americans and in the eyes of the world.
Thousands of people are dead or broken for life because of this President. He has been dishonest, incompetent and is utterly unwilling to take responsibility for his actions or take measures to repair the damage they've caused.
History will place him at the top of the list of the worst Presidents in US history. - Reply to this comment

I often wonder who the 30 or so percent of Americans are who still support Bush. After all, it's clear to the vast majority of us that he's an incompetent moron. When I read a post like yours, I understand....

- It's always amusing when someone makes idiotic statements and then blurts out, well I was in the military! So what. Many who post here served as well. Their opinions are every bit as valid as yours....and in this case, more so.
Bush asked a question and Webb answered. Bush didn't get the answer he wanted, so he continued to pursue it. Bush got what he deserved. - Reply to this comment

About the Botched Joke, if you just read the entire text of the speech even you might get it. If this is the kind of hearsay GOP talking point information you operate on, it's no wonder you are so full of hot air. - Reply to this comment
- After the last (6)yrs. of the Bush/Cheney adm. & watching every other person in Washington sucking up to these criminals, Jim Webb's response to Bush was like a breath of fresh air!
As someone said in an earlier post, disrespect is earned not given. I respect the office but I have no respect left for Bush or Cheney. Both of them are traitors & murderers who, by their criminal actions/policies & blatant abuse of power, have disgraced America & the patriots who have died (or been maimed) defending our country. They have also, by their actions, disgraced the memory of the innocent victims of 911. They should be held accountable for what they have done.
Impeach them both.
Re-open the 911 investigation. - Reply to this comment

Did he call our soldiers killers and rapists? Where is this information. I'd like to see it.
If your talking about attrocities committed by SOME American troups, this is just a matter of historical fact. It happens in every war. It's happening in this one. The fact that a soldier has the courage to stand up and say that this is wrong shows courage and humanity. It represents the best of what were about in America.
The sad truth is, some Republicans will stop at nothing in there pursuit of power. Even if it means smearing people who served honorably like John Mcain, Kerry or now even Webb. You do no honor to your service or theirs by joining in on the smear. - Reply to this comment
- I was going to pile on winstrv, but don't have the time to stand in that long line.
God Bless James Webb and his son. - Reply to this comment
- Spinning an adage on its side, I say disrespect is earned not given. And George Bush has, in the last six years, more than earned the disrespect of a whole lot of people.
Respect the office, absolutely, but certainly not this person! - Reply to this comment

Another thing bush said boy there are no boys serving in iraq but there are men and women. bush wouldn't know anything about that though just look at his military record. ( if thats what you want to call it )

rharrin1,
Are you referring to His records in the National Guard? There are lots of people who would like to see his FULL records including the ones that were conveniently and mysteriously lost.
I recall Dan Rather held an interview for CBS with Bush Sr, during the 1992 campaign that turned a little testy.
Considering what Jr did to Sadaam for attempting to assassinate his dad, I would say Dan Rather got off light by only losing his job. - Reply to this comment
