'My Son Is An Honest Man,' Former President Tells Hostile UAE Crowd
- The Baker Hamilton commission should also be reconsidering the Afghanistan quagmire. It is only bringing trouble to our relationships with India, because Pakistan is intimately involved with Afghanistan. We need to be on the right side of the Democracy line. If we go on supporting Pakistan in this Afghan War, we will be promoting a huge shift against American interest. China and India are working hand in stride to open trade between their countries. India is building a new Financial City, and China is expanding economic cities in their Western Regions, to lure populations away from the coastal areas. What we should do is give Russia the benefit of the doubt, and change the pipeline route from the Caspian Basin thru Afghanistan to go through Turkey or Russia, out to the Aegean Sea, and to the Mediterranean Sea. This would keep us out of Afghanistan. Make Pakistan fight the Taliban as their proof to wanting good relations with WTO and the world body. Their actions would make positive relations develop between themselves and India, and ease tensions of invasions by the West in Afghanistan. Things would smooth out in the course of political and economic jargon...so to speak.

- The old man is losing his Jello as Mike Dukakis would say. If he was honest he would admit he has failed big time. Isn't that why they dumped Rumsfeld? If he said to the American people we are going into Iraq to take out Saddam because he is a dictator, and his oil profits are only making him richer with the capability to buy more military hardware, then it would have been a different story. But they said he had WMD, and literally tied him to AlQaida. He should pull all troops out of the cities and just guard the oil sites, to assure that terrorists will not get the oil. Let them form a new governmment, freely deciding if they want democracy. Hell they might want China communism. And that is another failure GHWBush and his son have plundered. They did not use the Taiwan opportunity to change Chen Shui-bians tactics to seeking independence, instead toward being a 2nd political party in China, to bring Democracy to China. What is better an Independent Taiwan, or a Taiwan that has freed its neighbor from Communist control? The answer is clear. The direction is to get China to become a democracy with Taiwans help. We can not go on with Walmart making China's Communist party stronger, while making us weak, in trying to change Iraq's politics, when friendly China is a greater threat.

- I can't believe they even allow me to post comments.
The journalists all know America is FASCIST. They aren't exactly stupid. So, why aren't they allowed to talk about it in the CORPORATE Media? I wonder if their lives have been threatened. Shoot, I bet most of the people in the Senate and House have had their lives threatened by the Bush Crime Family. Anthrax?
No rational person would WANT Civil War, but if the OLIGARCHY that is running this Country doesn't STOP the Fascism.. I see it as inevitable. Kids and young adults are catching on. We're going from a future of "American Dream" to "Holy SH&T... Your Country is a Fascist Dictatorship". - Reply to this comment
- To Tank611: Yes, I think posts are being planted. Take this post by Bushrocks (with the past life story!)below your post and then go the story about Bushes' daughter being robbed and check out the post there. Verbatim, the same identical post, cut and paste job. I've seen that post at least a zillion times now over the last few weeks. Also, I'm sure we have our Islamic symapthizers/apologists acting as though they are American citizens with American or U.S. military type names when they actually are not. And sprinkle in a few posts that are just flat out crazy...Let the viewer decide!

- So now that everyone is in agreement that both the old man George H W Bush 41 and Junior George
W Bush 43 are out of touch with reality and liars
so how about all of you putting forth the effort
to get Impeachment Petitions and do something about Fixing The Things That Junior Bush Broke?
And which is dang near everything King George 43
touches just like his Daddy King George 41 before
the Old Man Bush's Mr Fix It James Baker really
gets it screwed up even worse yet! Of did ya'll
forget who helped steal the 2000 Election For
Junior & The Old Man Bush? Or haven't any of ya'll heard that actions speak louder then words?
And so,how may of you folks contacted your US
Senators and Congressman since Tuesday? Or sent
an E-mail to either the Chairman of the GOP or
Chairman of the Democratic Party by now? - Reply to this comment
- You ever wonder how many people that post messages here might be disinformation agents in the employ of countries that are hostile to the United States?

- Would I send my son to this war? You might ask would I send him to WW II? Or Vietnam? Maybe you would distinguish those conflicts and whether you would send your son to fight in them. But that question is misdirected in a very important way: I can't command my son to go to war. He has to make that choice. So the better question would be: would I volunteer to fight in Iraq, WW II, Vietnam? Would I volunteer to fight in any war? Respond if drafted? I don%u2019t know. I'm not equivocating, only addressing that it is a hypothetical. As a hypothetical, I can say, sure I'd fight. But I have nightmares of battle (from my past life as a Jacobite). So how do I feel toward those who do volunteer? Impressed and maturely knowing that many things go into their decision. But I do strongly believe that a country who can't find those men is doomed. The fact that we can find them is one reason why I say there is no failure in Iraq. Objectively, I also believe it for other reasons. An attempt to establish democracy in the Middle East is a bold, brilliant, noble effort, facing a high chance of failure. That's why I greatly respect and admire those who have made the attempt--the Bush administration. They have been resolute, something I have not seen in my lifetime. They may not succeed, for reasons outside their control or fault: traitors on the home front, being a big one. But now those traitors have apparently occupied the high ground. Yet... we're still in Iraq. Why?... I'm waiting.
