Two Democrats Get Strongest Endorsements From Home State Voters, CBS Exit Polls Find
- Theoretically, a Clinton/Obama ticket would be a good combination. Practically, it will not work. The country might not be ready for a black president yet or for that matter a female president. While the voting public might be indifferent after Bush's standard of performance, the powers behind the presidency might think otherwise. Winning the popular vote does not mean winning the White House. Al Gore is a good example. In terms of intellect, Clinton and Obama have it, and so are a few. Obama is too young and inexperience. Clinton has too many enemies - real and imaginary. Since we have a nincompoop in the White House, I guess at the end of the day anyone a shade smarter and with little or no experience cannot do any more harm than what Bush has done. Besides intelligence and charm, let us make sure that the next occupant of the WH is also psychologically healthy, and not someone with illusions of grandeur like the nut we have.

- Maybe Hillary for vice but the strongest democratic candidate will, and should be, John Edwards.

There are no real leaders because the game is corrupt and there is no way to get to the top without selling out to one degree or another. Those that have been playing the game the longest are usually the most sold out. People become political animals furthering their own career ambitions over the well-being of the country. By this measure, Clinton and Obama might be less sold out than some of the other contenders.
If we want real leaders we need to publicly finance election campaigns. We need to buy back our government from the special interests. It would be far less expensive than what we're doing now and we could attract people who really want to serve the nation. - Reply to this comment
- It looks like I'm not the only one looking for real leaders..

- I like McCain for the Repubs--not sure of the vice. I like Edwards/Clinton for the Dems. I think Obama needs 4 more years of experience to be able to reach a wider votership, and then look out.
Fartknocker2, the crazies are going to keep developing their power and blowing innocent people up in an attempt to seize power irrespective of who occupies the White House. It's just the current version of the barbarians at the gates. Remember, Clinton wanted to do more, and congress was too busy patting itself on the back and arguing over how to spend the "surplus." - Reply to this comment
- If we have to re-live 2002-2003 AGAIN....
Why do these people (Democrat / Republicans)(Liberal / Conservative)(Left / Right)
think they can pull our strings and we will do exactly as they want
Are we going to see every SUNDAY for the NEXT TWO YEARS
the SAME people who we are suppose to RALLY BEHIND...
I WANT TO SEE PEOPLE SOLVING PROBLEMS
Not people talking about solving problems
I WANT TO VOTE FOR LEADERS

- It's great to see the debates starting for both parties on who will be the front runners for 08. I think both parties can field very good candidates. Edwards, Vilsack,Clinton, Obama and others will begin to surface in the next few months. Obviuosly McCain is the front runner for the republicans, Gulianti will never gain his party's nomination. He is RINO. Mitt Romney has shown interest. Look for a wild ride during the next 2 years.

- I think Clinton/Obama would be good but afraid since they both have Illinois ties this might not be possible. Edwards/Obama would be next choice. Republicans, I like Chuck Hagel, but he is way too liberal for the Republicans, also disagrees with Bush, a no-no for the religious zealots.

- huskerarmy- he helps fuel the republican stereotype that claims that the neocon party base is three part-the gun-totin' rednecks, the religious wackos and the extremely wealthy.

- FARTKNOCKER2-your reasoning astounds me. so you base your vote on your own personal interpretation of scriptures that the Bible clearly states that not even the angels themselves, though they long to look into those things, cannot understand? you must be like a new messiah! wow. and some people say that one of the problems with a democracy is you get voters completely unqualified to make a rational choice selecting our leaders! (note how bush got into office...)

Imagine that... Trent Lott, George Machaca Aleen et al. And as of yet, black voters apparently don't see it your way. Wonder why? - Reply to this comment
- Guilliani and pataki were forced by the federal government to give money to the school in their city and state. being very pro-education myself, I find it scary to think about someone with this little amount of regard for our nation's schools serving as president.

- Have you people forgotten what happened to Harold Ford? Obama can not be President because of the America's ignorance factor.
Hillary can win over Independents who worry that she can not win. Growing poll numbers make a difference in the progress of the contest.
Hillary and Wes Clark are the perfect team!
Remember with Hill you get two for the price of one. The world will appreciate our choice. - Reply to this comment
- If you think about it, Al Gore is a Democrat who has already won the popular election for president. Gore, Edwards, Obama, Clinton, Kerry, Biden... All better than more of the neo-con agenda.
