Sailing On Rising Tide Of Voter Outrage, Democrats Win Majority Rule
- Tread carefully Democrats! Do not accept the smiling faces and outstretched hands of these corrupt scoundrels you have DEFEATED. They told your fellow countrymen that you were nothing but traitors and cowards, and they meant it.
They have looted your treasury and sent your brave young men to die needlessly, while denying your patriotism because you questioned their
radical ideas. Their ideas have been failures. They will never admit it.
Rule with strength and demand accountability for these failures.
NEVER FORGET how resolute, defiant, stubborn and ruthless the right wing has been in advancing the agendas of corporations, special interests, and big government's raw power along with their own perpetuity and greed.
This is how resolute and ruthless you must now be in defending the Americans who have made you their best hope.

- Im so happy that the GOP is out of power. So much scandal, constant lying, and pure evil will be swept from the halls. Everyone is fed up with Republicans....even themselves. My grandfather, a die hard Republican since I was a baby has voted Democrat for the first time in his life this election. Everyone is sick and tired of being sick and tired and have made their decision. My prediction is that we will not have another Republican president for at least 2 full terms. This will happen....start thinking for yourselves people, look around you. Look at the world, look at the 36,000 dead Iraqi civilians, look at the 8.7 TRILLION dollar debt, were a debtor to Mexico for Christ sake. Look at the scandal, look at the lies, look at what this adminstrations party has done to this countries stand that I used to be proud of. This is the beginning of the end for the GRAND OIL PARTY.

- I find angryliberal%u2019s comments, like his ID, to be very disingenuous.

- It's a great day for the Democrats in Polk county of FL which was a great Dem. stronghold until all the conservative northerners moved south and took over at the ballot box. I moved here from IL but I brought my Democratic ideals with me and I never will change.

- After the invasion, the world rightly placed most of the responsibility for the debacle in Iraq on the Bush administration. However, all Americans became fully responsible after electing Bush the second time.
I hope the world will now, as I do, feel a little better about Americans as a whole.
Congratulations, Americans, you can start to hold your heads up again.
We must all be more involved in our government than we have in the past if we want a GOVERNMENT FOR, OF, AND BY THE PEOPLE. - Reply to this comment

Congrats CBS
The media also did a good job a suppressing conservative voter turnout this year and convincing some some shallow conservatives to be mad at republicans and to stay home and not vote...we need to give credit to them also. The dems also need to give credit to their dead voters who outvoted republicans 4 to 1.
The one man that we lost in this country that really stood up in a non-politician way was Rick Santourum. This guy was impressive, I didnt know much about him until this election, but this guy says it like it is. He isnt afraid of polls or even losing he honestly seems to do what he think is right and you have to respect a guy for that democrat or republican. I would vote for Santourum for president in heartbeat. - Reply to this comment
- looks like people voted for a change. Now the democrats should explain what that change is...ussually that occurs before the election not after, but i guess their campaign on Bush bashing with no agenda, chanting we want change without explaination, and running "conservative" democrats paid off.....doesnt seem logical, but I guess it worked.
So I say congrats to the dems, hopefully this change will be for the better and they wont do all the things they promised to do. Maybe those conservative dems will set the dem leadership straight. - Reply to this comment
- Bush is still in office and he is a rebulican and will try to keep the stiff upper hand, he is also the only one who can do something and try to keep the republican party in the lead of the demorcats.
The republican party did not do anything in there years of having both congress and senate under there control. they have done nothing. hopefully the demorcats will do something.
Stocks are also affected. the gas companies may have to raise there prices due to demorcats wanting to put a tax on this.
Hopefully the demorcats will help the war and urge the people of Iraq to set up deadlines and follow them. bush is not doing so he is letting the iraq people set there deadlines but not stick to them.
The North Korea nuclear project must be stop this treat has been going on since Bush Sr. He is just like his son. Bush Sr. did not want to hold talks with the North Korean Country, and niether does Bush Jr. but Bill Clinton did he help the country and kept the talks open. hopefully this new role in the house and hopefully the senate will also be a key in this - Reply to this comment
