- The American People are finally waking up to understand that the Bush policy of
FEAR
HATE
LIES
WAR
PLUNDER
has been one massive DISASTER!
In case you didn't notice (of course CBS gave it ZERO converage), Bush signed HR5122, Public Law 109-364 into effect in October, the same day that the military tribunals law was passed. This law basically revises the Insurrection Act and the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, allowing Bush (the "War President") to declare martial law. He may need this if the NeoCons are planing to steal this election with their DieBold machines!
Section 1076 entitled, "Use of the Armed Forces in Major Public Emergencies." Section 333, "Major public emergencies; interference with State and Federal law" states that "the President may employ the armed forces, including the National Guard in Federal service, to restore public order and enforce the laws of the United States when, as a result of a natural disaster, epidemic, or other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident, or other condition in any State or possession of the United States, the President determines that domestic violence has occurred to such an extent that the constituted authorities of the State or possession are incapable of ("refuse" or "fail" in) maintaining public order, "in order to suppress, in any State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy." - Reply to this comment
- By the way, only those who are morally bankrupt call someone who has served in our military a coward. Smearing the names of people like Murtha, Duckworth and Kerry is, plainly and simply put, shameful conduct. And please, don't bother posting those lies by America's largest political donor Bob Perry - his Swiftboat slander is not only factually in error, it's certainly embarassing to anyone who repeats it.

- Of course candidates are snubbing Bush. The ever-shrinking core of hardliners who still believe in the PNAC version of world reality in which the US must militarily dominate the rest of the planet, are hardly going to be enough to win anything like a majority in government from here on in. I mean heck, even Perle, Adelman and Frum - PNAC founders - are jumping ship!
The Bush administration has been selling out the tragedy of 9/11 for political gain six years now, and people are finally beginning to realize it. - Reply to this comment

Hmmmm, 56? You have not accumulated much wisdom for those advanced years. Still name calling like a child on the playground. - Reply to this comment
- Hey, frankly6, I'm 56 years old and you don't have a clue to what I have done in my past. I can tell you this, real heroes don't go around talking about their purple hearts that they got by self-inflicted wounds.

I think you should show your courage by joining up to fight for your country. That's what Kerry did. - Reply to this comment

- dixieman06 is right! no partying now, wait 'till Wednesday morning! y'all should be getting out the vote and helping at the voting booths to make sure the voice of the American people is heard.
And yeah, dixieman06, you're right, we could have had Kerry. In '04 we might still have had a chance at solving the Iraq problem that Bush and his PNAC neocon cabal threw in America's laps.
The bad news is that even if the Dems manage to take over both houses of Congress they're still stuck trying to fix what Bush broke - a daunting task to say the least. But at least the American people will FINALLY have someone in there looking out for their interests instead of just the "Special" ones. - Reply to this comment
