Comments on: Group Of GIs Mocks Kerry Remarks
Holding Sign Saying: 'Halp us Jon Carry – We R stuck hear n Irak'
- Where is Mark Foley? Why is he not in Jail? He solicited underage children for fornication. Why has he not been charged? Why is he permitted to roam free after his 30 days in Rehab? Is there a different standard for child predators if they are from Congress? If he were on Dateline NBC he would have been arrested. Please let us know and take action, the American People are watching.

- getcentered,
Kerry deserves no respect. I spent over 20 years in the Army and he offends me. Don't let fanatical thinking cloud your judgment. - Reply to this comment
- Our troops and their families absolutely deserve an apology. See if you can figure out who owes them one.
1. For asking them to lay down their lives for a lie and continuing to lie when those lies were exposed.
2. For pretending to support and care about the troops while you underpay, under man, under equip, and ask them to do a job that you did not train them to do.
3. For pretending to care about them while simultaneously cutting funding for their healthcare when they get injured.
4. For bungling the planning and execution of the war/reconstruction and asking them to lay down their lives playing referee in a civil war.
5. For using this war as an opportunity to enrich yourselves and your friends with corrupt no-bid contracts and sending cronies to oversee the rebuilding.
6. For listening to pundits instead of the experts who told you that this would go exactly the way it has.
7. For pretending to know or even care what offends the troops.
8. For telling the troops they're coming home and keeping them there and or repeatedly sending them back.
It's time for you "bumper-sticker patriots" to challenge yourselves by looking deeper than the slogans and sound-bites and really start being concerned about what's happening to our troops. - Reply to this comment
- Regarding Sen. Kerry's apology and the CBS reported story.
He says that he regrets saying the comment. I think he regrets getting caught.
If he was truly sorry for belittling the soldiers and their families and pretty much the whole country then he should do something more than apologize. There are some mistakes that just cannot be fixed with only an apology.
Since Kerry said he PERSONALLY apologizes, perhaps he should. Perhaps along with a portion of his salary, the U.S. government should prove their good faith intentions by awarding the families a small settlement for the slander.
Since there is no more that can be said then do something.
And, for the record, why is the White House accepting apologies intended for someone else? - Reply to this comment

JaneyMcGreev--the Dems are imbecilic, cowardly , bigoted and peverted. OK. With Dubya who cannot pronounce 'nuclear' I would not be pointing fingers at stupid people. Cowardly--how many medals and how much service did any of the neocons do--at last Kerry served and with distinction and bravery. Bigoted--so the letters sent to the hispanic voters or the party history of trying to stop the equal voting act doesn't
I think your political fervor is clouding your judgement--don't confuse me with the facts, my mind has been made up!!- Reply to this comment

- People who vote for Republicans are very angry right now. They feel somewhat responsible for our brothers and sisters dying in Iraq, and they should, but that does not mean that because you voted for a warmonger in the last few elections that you have to continue to do so.
Republicans:
Stop feeling so bad and stop voting for GOP'er just because you keep hearing the word "team" associated with them. This is not Football, your votes can help decide whether our brothers and sisters fight and die for causes that all Americans believe in and support.
Do not let your guilt get in the way of your intelligence!
By the way, where are the centrist Republicans? Why does the GOP have to have a big rubber stamp as a constituency? - Reply to this comment

You show no respect for Kerry, who actually served our country in wartime.
Why haven't you signed up?
Please, you're letting politics cloud your intelligence. - Reply to this comment
- Is them children learning?... We will be hailed as liberators...stay the course... mission acomplished...the insurgency is in its last throes...we know exactly where the weapons are...iraqi oil will pay for rebuilding...We are winning.........................

- I would like to thank John Kerry on behalf of all Republicans and Americans who support our precious troops, for showing once again his true color(s) yellow.
Perhaps John, Teresa, their daughters, and her son would like a lift on the Black Hawk Helicopter my twenty-something year-old, brilliantly educated, Officer Cousin, flies in Iraq on behalf of freedom for all. It's not exactly your chauffer driven Range Rover and it is pretty dinged up so maybe not.
BTW, you may creatively enhance your military service --but the medals my educated father wore on his Marine Corps dress blues, were earned and real and heavy and quite daunting and impressive when you held one in your hand. It is about the quality and color of the metal, the brilliance of the ribbon, and the care that is taken designing the Navy Cross, or that purple one. They represent the brilliance, courage and beauty of the men who fight for all of us. He was laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery. A plot of land you, John Kerry, had you become president probably would have "rearranged" so your daughter could have horses at the white house.
You scare me. (Or as you would believe the military translation to be; (u skare mee). - Reply to this comment
- Every one who thinks John Kerry really meant harm by what he said is just digging for something else to talk about!!
For those of you who aren't actually reading the article, Kerry was even sorry for saying it, but we all know his word were taken out of context:
He apologized to:
"any service member, family member or American who was offended"
Regretted that his words were:
"Misinterpreted to imply anything negative about those in uniform."
Then he properly accused Republicans of twisting his words and said it was Bush and his aides who "owe America an apology for this disaster in Iraq."
"The president always sets up a straw man because he won't debate a real man,"
Kerry snapped.
Good for Kerry. Only the stupid can stay mad at him.
I thank him for his service to our country. - Reply to this comment
- Here's a few good reasons to apologize to the troops and their families. See if you can figure out who owes them one.

Since our heroes policy in iraq has no direction they can not get people to enlist in the armed forces.
Now they have lowered the standard for people to join and what does that mean.
It means that Kerry was partialy right. Before everybody jumps off the cliff just stop and think about it.
If they lowered the standard what does that mean?- Reply to this comment
- Everytime the republicans are down in the polls or need a boost they send in Sen. John Kerry!!!
This is very interesting, I think the only reason the we have Bush for pres. is b/c John Kerry was running and he made the rep. look good by being so stupid.
HE IS NOT WHO HE SAYS HE IS!!!!!!
HE IS A DECOY!!! - Reply to this comment
- I have to ask Mr Kerry, "What other things you've said that we didn't understand or where you joking all the time?

- Hot news--Kerry cna't tella joke. At least he served and with bravery and distinction. I think he is a bad candidate--but he served. The chickenhawks--Dubya (AWOL), Cheney (deferments) Rumsfeld--also no service, Limbaugh-deferments. Serving doesn't make you better--it just means that at least you didn't run and hide and then are perfectly comfortable sending other peoples children to fight and die.
All this is a distraction however--King George wants to change the subject to anything else. - Reply to this comment
