- Rusti_10 says "Right now, moral values is taking away valuable life-saving embryos and throwing them into dumpsters. Great job, guys! That's real progressive and, quite frankly, you can't get much more selfish! That, too, must be a Christian value."
Rusti - are these your embryos? What gives you the right to decide what to do with them. If the couple who created the embryo to science wants to donate them, they can today. There is no law against this.
But, conversely that does not give anyone else a right to confiscate that property and use it for "noble" purposes. Or even more troublesome to copy it (clone it) without permission. To liberals the "end" always justifies the means - just like in Kelo vs New London. The fact that there was benefit in taxes by stealing someone's property overrides any sense of the "wrongness" of taking it by force in the first place. - Reply to this comment
- Redhawk,
Some people in this great nation have a moral problem with being forced by the self appointed "more enlightened" types to spend our money on something we find morally repugnant (the Iraq war). Also, NO, in watching the interview, I did not see any place where he stated that Talent does'nt share hope for a cure, but there is a difference in their positions just the same. - Reply to this comment
- rusti,,,, beneath contempt??? what about not taking your meds before you testify before congress, so you purposly have more tremors? hmmm mjf admitted doing this... as far as throwin embryos in dumpsters,, this is a crime,, all IVF patients are required by law to use or care for in perpetuity all left over eggs/embryos,,
MJF is lying about senator tallents support FOR stem cell research, he is against cloning and federal monies for embryonic research, he does not clairify,, therefore he is eighter being used or he is an idiot - Reply to this comment
- The pathetic partisans in this debate are those soulless drones who mindlessly defend the indefensible - but please keep it up, as the more people who are exposed to your true nature are that many more Democratic votes on November 7th!

- He said he appeared in the ad only to advance his cause, and that "disease is a non-partisan problem that requires a bipartisan solution."
"I don't really care about politics," Fox added. "We want to appeal to voters to elect the people that are going to give us a margin, so we can't be vetoed again."
With all due respect, Michael can't keep his story straight. First he doesn't care about politics, then he gets into an ad where there is definite partisan political hacking going on. Mikey you were a shill and now you're not playing to the public with a full deck. I want to see more research as well but not at the expense of politic whoring. - Reply to this comment

- I suffer from a neurological disorder which passed through, and can return to, dyskenisic tremors. I was lucky, though, in that mine can be treated and controlled, unlike the full-blown Parkinson tremors.
They are painful, frustrating, embarassing, debilitating and frightening. For Rush Limbaugh to suggest anyone would fake or exagerate such tremors is beneath contempt!
As for Parkinson's, no one has advanced research more than Michael. For him, and many others, including myself, stem cell research is more than political, it is very, very personal. To those who speak out against stem cell research, I would only say that what happened to Michael and so many others can happen to you. Right now, moral values is taking away valuable life-saving embryos and throwing them into dumpsters. Great job, guys! That's real progressive and, quite frankly, you can't get much more selfish! That, too, must be a Christian value. - Reply to this comment
- You want morally repugnant?
Try this out for size:
Your fake president ballyhooed by your fake intellectual appears on a stage with SNOWFLAKES whose creation was partially funded by federal money.
Yup - some rich jerks feel that they are above adopting already living young babies who are given up for adoption almost every day of the year, so they have 7 or 8 or more embryos destroyed trying to get a good one to 'take' in some woman's uterus.
Take your 'moral' arguments and shove them right up your immoral behinds!
Want more? How about the war in Iraq and the abject desertion of hope in Afghanistan by your fake American leaders? Talk about immoral... - Reply to this comment
