Rush Limbaugh, lets see, was he in the news not to long ago, I believe it had something to do with drugs!!! Fox has a terrible disease and is trying to help find a cure. Limbaugh also has a disease, its called hoof amd mouth, in his case mostly hoof in the mouth. Typical conservative no mind.

Inarguable, in the same way that you scoff at Lapp's post (yes, scoff) I have to scoff at your latest. Who are you to say that Lapp's post is not to be taken seriously after a close inspection of yours. Your comment deserves much less than a glance (It's hardly serious commentary) with "holocaust", "fatal degenerative disease" and then "LOL" bundled into one sentence! You flippantly dismiss other people's views if they're not in accordance with your own and rather look as though you enjoy arguing for the sake of arguing now.

I agree with the prawn there. If that's his natural state then it makes sense that he wouldn't want to be medicated wouldn't it...otherwise it would be like asking someone to testify about discrimination wearing whiteface or blackface. How about the anti-smoking ad that has a woman with a tracheotomy smoking through the hole in her neck? Is that lying? Should she have just smoked normally and only mentioned her consequence? Would that have had anywhere near the same impact? So, bravo Michael. May a cure be found in your lifetime and I hope you do whatever it takes to draw attention to this cause.

Lapp7660 - WOW...talk about a post degenerating into an incredibly off-topic rant...LMAO.
Actually, i am not being accurate, because your post did not degenerate into anything, but rather it started in the depths of patheticness with, after mentioning that Limbaugh is a RECOVERING drug addict, making the truly plebian statement, "anyone who knows anything about the disease of addiction knows if his lips are moving there is a good chance it's not the truth coming out of his mouth." Just being a recovering drug addict certainly doesn't make one incapable of being truthful, so that comment nullifies any chance of the rest of your post being examined with even an ounce of pragmatism.
Now if you had of said in reference to Limbaugh that "anyone who knows anything about partisan political hacks knows that if his lips are moving..." then it may have made some degree of sense!
Please tell me more about this loving God you speak of...is he the same loving God who by your spurious logic allowed the holocaust to happen, or allowed Fox to be stricken with a fatal degenerative disease, or...You get the picture...LOL

GET YOU HEADS OUT OF THE SAND---All public officials, news media, etc do all they can to exploit people for their own gain. Look at Jerry Lewis and all of the money he raises with is crippled children. Look at all of the money raised for the people in floods, earthquakes etc. McCaskill is doing the same thing. Fox even admits he goes off of his medication to make himself look much worse. Limbaugh did nothing but points this out to those of you who can not take all of this into consideration. Look at the background of CBS doing the same thing to sell more media space. "Wise up"

Before you open your MOUTH, Limbaugh, you should engage your BRAIN. One of these days, karma is going to get you, and YOU are going to suffer a debilitating disease. Let's see how YOU feel, when someone, who is ignorant and insensitive, attacks and makes stupid comments about YOU while you are struggling for your life.

We all already know, how your back pain, caused you to get 'hooked on drugs'.

"Firebrand radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh was charged Friday with fraudulently concealing information to obtain prescription drugs, but prosecutors will drop the charge after 18 months if Limbaugh remains in treatment for drug addiction, his lawyer said.

Limbaugh also agreed to pay the state of Florida $30,000 to help cover the cost of the investigation into the conservative radio personality's alleged "doctor shopping," a felony in Florida."

But, that's ok, right? Anyone else, would have been in jail.

Now let's talk about how sick and cold it is, to attack someone with such a horrendous disease, shall we? Rather than get on the topic of stem cell research, or whether or not Michael should be doing this.

STAY ON THE TOPIC. He had NO right to say what he did. To say that Michael was acting, is a purely disgusting remark, but I'm not surprised, since it came out of Limbaugh's mouth.

I don't understand how Fox 'lied' or 'misled' either. If Fox had assumed more violent tremors (ie, acted out Parkinson's sympyoms) then yes, that would constitute misleading someone. However, it's every sufferer's choice to medicate or not medicate and, once more, the sypmtoms and effectiveness of anti-Parkinson's drugs vary throughout the day, as well as from day to day. If Michael J Fox had the capacity to be that frail unmedicated, what was so wrong in showing it? Every Parkinson's sufferer endures those tremors between medication and sometimes ever whilst on the medication. So debate about politics to your heart's content, but leave out the judgements about Parkinson's disease, its medication and its sufferers when clearly you have about as much idea about them as I do American politics.

I just watched Michael J. Foxes commercial on youtube. I think he is brave to show the honest affects of his disease to the public. Rush Limbaugh is the one exploiting this issue and his comments are cruel.

God bless Michael J. Fox for having the courage to show us how Parkinson's is ravaging his body. You may not approve of his message, but he still has the right to express his opinion and support those issues that are important to him. Should Christopher Reeve been hidden away from sight? Would you rather not see the bald head of the cancer patient, or the anti-abortionist's dead fetus photos?

Limbaugh is very good at finding/manufacturing other's faults. After all, that is what he does for a living. It is always easier to tear something down rather than build it. If and when he does something positive, I might start taking him seriously.

Michael J Fox didn't 'go off medication' to 'pull on heart strings', he didn't take the said medication to demonstrate what sufferers, like himself, go through every day. So many celebrities declare their allegiance to this or that political figure -should Michael J Fox be excluded from this group because he uses his ailment in a political ad? I don't understand why so many people find his appearance objectionable. Towards the end of Lucky Man, which i have in front of me, Fox's medication, sinemet was having little effect There are very few effective therapies for people who've suffered from Parkinson's for more than ten years (Invasive, largely ineffective surgery and other antiquated treatments). I doubt very much that Fox appears much better when he's off the camera these days.
