"From what I understand Mr. Limbaugh should know all about medications, I hope and pray that he does not get Parkinson. I am so fed up with the republicans, they have lied and sidestepted the truth on every point, you just can't believe any thing they have to say, and Mr. Bush is the at the top of the list of not telling us the truth." - wrobertson

Lying is the bag of most politicians, but especially democrats. Bush is unusual in that he doesn't lie at all, and the democrat machine still doesn't have their Bush-timing down. Clinton lied all the time, of course.

Lying about Bush lying over and over and over doesn't mean he lied, of course. But it is how most leftist propaganda gets done.

And, since the stem cell science doing the most good and least harm isn't embryonic, it looks like the dems, and the left, are lying again. Is this really all about cloning after all? Spare parts?

I guess there's no place science can't go. At least, Hitler's Third Reich thought that way.

When we respond to Rush Limbaugh we elevate him far above the swine status he lives in so we need to quit talking about him and raising his ratings. He is a political shock jock nothing more.

Dear Michael,

My heart really goes out for you. Just keep your faith. I hope that one day a cure for PD can be found. I really enjoy watching you in the Back to the Future Trilogy. I feel so bad that Rush Limbaugh and some of the others feel the need to take shots at you. You are such a sweet man, and you do exude peace and harmony. You definitely have my support.

Hugs! :)

Ignorance to the disease and the medication effects are the results of this controversy. Not stem cell research or politics.I sincerely applaud Mr.Fox for educating the public about this disease and it's effects any way you can! You are making a difference! Limbaugh do you research before you speak.I don't believe in stem cell research but I was a caregiver to my mother who had Parkinson's for nearly 30 years. You are ignorant to this disease. People DON'T understand this dibilitating, misunderstood,
complex disease! It is unpredictable and affects people in different ways and the symptoms change from one day to the next.My mother was affected the same way Mr.Fox was when she had too much medicine. Then again, she simply could not function without it! Whether Mr. Fox takes his med's is his personal choice anyway. There is a very fine line when it comes to medicines. The patient has to choose which way they can function best while considering the side effects of the medicines when choosing them. You just don't pop a pill and fix it. From long term use of medicines and the disease my mother suffered horrid hallucinations and dementia. How do you fake that Mr. Limbaugh? Who gives you the right to say he did not take his medicines to make the disease present itself more for the ad? The medicines can be a bad as the disease but most people need them just to function. This is NOT just the "Shaking Disease".It is much more complicated than people are aware.

Super chunky R Limbaugh has become such a laughing stock he now needs to put on a big red nose get a rubber horn and join the circus as the scary clown.
All these fools like ( Limbaugh )who come along and try to intimate the American people by making boogymen out of others who are in a minorty by race, religion, medical problems or something else that makes them a little different from the rest of us are after a while found out and sent to the dustbin of history. Give me G. Washinton, A Linclon, Dr king and John F Kenndy they worked against injustice. You can have your nasty R Limbaughs of the world.Oh By the way their was a little German in the 30s and 40s who used the same theme song. You know if your not like us then listen for the knock on the door.Spooky when you think about it but after all it is near hollween is it not.

Let us think about this for a minute. MJF has been an advocate for finding a cure for Parkinson' dz for a while now. This issue has come to the front because someone like Limbo decided to comment after seeing the effects of the dz. These callous comments coming from a man who illegally obtained prescription medications a few years ago (oh yeah! He has "intractbale" back pain, like many other people in the general population).

Consider this,(have you seen the videos of MJF?) if you were in that condition wouldn't you want support and try to support anoyone who may be able to help you and others like you? You don't hear Limbo complaining about people campaigning for GOP or Demos who want AIDS research. Why? Because the signs of AIDS, cystic fibrosis, (CF), diabetes, or other serious conditions are not nearly as visible as Parkinson's dz.? Would you be willing to go in front of a camera to let the world see how this dz is effecting you?

Why doesn't Limbo criticize Mary Tyler Moore for her commercials for childhood diabetes? How about Jerry Lewis' telethon for muscular dystrophy? Because these would be big no-no's?

I use to like Limbo, but that was a long time ago. Now I think his comments and the video of him immitating MJF are repulsive, to say the least. I find his appology to have little to no sincerity, and his opinion in this issue worthless.

I have written letters, e-mailed and tried to explain to others why I feel embryonic stem cell research is so very important. But, I am JUST a MOM of a son with type I Diabetes. Without insulin, he will die. My face and my words have no impact on those who control the final stem cell decision. Through tears I have watched Michael J. Fox plead for this research. He understands! I wish it were me and not my son suffering from a life-threatening disease. Thank you Michael for fighting for my son's life because this mom feels helpless without you.

RE: Bluestardad
I really don't see a connection between this and the M. J. Fox story, but I do wholeheartedly agree with your comment that we Americans are more likely to harm ourselves than become victime of terrorist attack. The terror threat is all part of fear mongering that people like GWB, Chimney and Rumpsfield use in an attempt to make us more dependent on the govt for "security". I know I am not really dependent on our gov to protect me from a terrorist attack, that would be like expecting the gov. to protecet me from a hurricane. Sorry for all of you I have offended, but I really don't trust our gov. for much. The question now is do you?

whatithink: "Some of the people who are here defending Rush L. would be in an uproar if those same words came out of the mouth of George Clooney or Jesse Jackson or The Dixie Chicks. Same thing if the latter three were found abusing drugs. However, since Rush L. is a friend you find yourselves needing to defend him and I find this completely hypocritical."

Man, the stuff that comes out of the mouths of angry liberals/democrats/leftist/whatever isn't anything like what you hear conservatives saying. Haven't you read this blog?

And, no, with the exception of Jackson, most conservatives just wouldn't be surprised at all if they were found doing drugs. And would fully expect them to get off not only fro the justice department, but in the press. Because that's what we see. The mainstream media didn't rake either the Dixie Chicks or Clooney over the coals, and it's only very recently that Jackson has started to get bad press, and that only after his standing went down some in black neighborhoods.

Besides, if Cloony insulted Fox (and he would be much less gracious) conservatives would be confused, not outraged.

Michael J. Fox is dishonest.
He states that Talent is not for stem cell research. Talent and other people are not for EMBRYONIC stem cell, where most results are not found in embryonic.
I am sure that Talent "shares (Fox's) hope for a cure," but not at the expense of human life. Who doesn't want to cure devasting diseases. Do Democrats actually think they have a monopoly on compassion? How arrogant are these people?
Fox is disigenuious and is used for political capital. I thought he was smarter than that, but obviously he is not.
Fox is a poster-boy for all that is bad about Hollywood and the Democrat party.

If you know anyone with Parkinson%u2019s you know Fox was not acting or exaggerating. The affects of not taking enough PD medicine causes bad tremors or rigidity and the affects of taking even a little too much PD medicine causes (dyskensia) drastic wavering movements. The amount of medicine to take varies on an hourly basis and is very difficult to determine. Some days are good days and some are bad and the symptoms vary a great deal. PD is a very serious disease and those with it deserve a great deal of respect just to keep living each day.

I feel the Rush needs to do some research on the subject prior to making any comments.
Quit taking your "recreational" drugs and get educated Mr. Limbaugh!
You do owe Fox an apology! Now!

I THINK IT TOOK A LOT OF GUTS FOR MICHAEL J. FOX TO GET ON T.V. AND DO AN AD TO HELP FIGHT FOR WHAT HE BELIEVES IN. (KNOWING A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T BELIEVE IN IT) THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY. RIGHT? IF PEOPLE WERE IN MICHAEL J. FOX'S SITUATION, THEY MAY WANT TO FIGHT FOR THE SAME THINGS TOO. AND FOR RUSH TO SAY MAYBE HE DIDNT TAKE HIS MEDICATION. ONLY RUSH WOULD KNOW WHAT DRUG TO TAKE IN THAT SITUATION. RIGHT? SEEING HE KNOWS A LOT ABOUT DRUGS AND NOTHING ABOUT PARKINSON'S. MAYBE HE NEEDS TO KEEP HIS DRUG INDUCED THOUGHTS TO HIMSELF.
MY OPINION FROM A CAREGIVER IN COLUMBUS OHIO. WHO DEVOTES SEVEN DAYS A WEEK TO HELP PEOPLE LIKE MICHAEL J. FOX.

huskerarmy: 'I've listened to the tape of Rush attacking M J Fox several times. You can hear the venom in his voice. He called Fox's "act" a diliberate exaggeration and labeled it as "discraceful." Just my humble opin but, sounded viscous to me.'

You probably did, and it probably did to you. But I didn't hear it, and it didn't to me.

Typically, when people can't handle criticism, people try to leave them be, but also expect them to stay out of situations that will get them criticized.

Fox probably wasn't very bothered by it. Is he too sensitive to handle it? I doubt he thinks so. If he does, then stumping for disingenuous politicians is probably not the best thing to do.

Didn't Al Franken write a book in 1999 with a pretty profound title?

Also, regarding Stem Cell research: There was a time when autopsies were outlawed. Now, they are commonplace. One day, this controversial research will also be routine. Just a matter of time...
