- Let's just face it - the French President Jacques Chirac was right. An educated man, he clearly articulated before the American invasion that Iraq was not an immediate threat that required an immediate invasion, and that any invasion would destabilise the region, rousing religious problems, agitating rifts between factions, and possibly causing a civil war.
But this was not good enough for our half-witter, C- average, daddy-paid-my-way-through-Yale President, who knew NOTHING about the middle east when he made his decision to invade. The moron hadn't even been to Europe, much less the middle east (except maybe for oil purposes).
I'm not saying that the French are rubbing it in our faces, but let's just admit our errors and try to cut our loses before it gets worse. - Reply to this comment

- WoW!! Bush must have finally read a News Release! When the news started reporting people was tired of {STAY THE COURSE} and the polls showed they will loose both Houses if something doesn't change. On ABC Sunday Bush stated he never was for stay the course! He can't stop telling "LIES" I wouldn't ever believe a word that come out of that liers mouth. Bush must think we are as Dumb as he is. Sorry Bush,"No Cigars"

- Bush's quote was that they were NEVER for stay the course.
Snow's quote is that Bush stopped using that phrase.
Never or stopped?
Snow better get in line with the propaganda, eh? - Reply to this comment

- Once it was abvious to even the President that "Stay the Course" really meant "Stay and Bleed" or Stay and Die", we were told that really, the President was constantly making revisions in Iraq plans. Maybe it was always "Stay the Course" but "The Course" was always changing. What ever happened to the truth?

- No policy shift means "stay the course"!
I for one am going to use that phrase until we actually DO make a change. Until then it continues to accurately describe what we've been seeing them do the past six years: the same old thing. - Reply to this comment
- "We'll stay the course."
Easy for "W" to say, who does he know that is risking their lives in this not-winnable war.
'Nuff said.

- What a horses hind end, if he had to serve in combat he would never have considered putting us in Iraq in the first place. These People running this war I would not trust to make me coffee.

- So King Dubya is no longer going to use the phrase "stay the course," but there are to be "no dramatic shifts in policy." In other words, the drunken frat boy who bought his way into the White House with daddy's money is just going to change the way he talks about his Iraqi mis-adventure. More and more, this is beginning to sound like Dubya trying to compensate for what he obviously doesn't have in either his pants or under his hat.
Pull out? Doesn't sound manly to me!! - Reply to this comment
- amazing!
i guess 60,000 fine american kids killed trying to prop up a corrupt regime in nam wasn't enough for one american. he wishes the Wall was three stories high and we would still be shipping our jobs to Communist China. (remember? that was our real enemy in nam) so he could shop at walmart.
God Bless our Troops

- Sometimes you gotta wonder whether or not One_American is for real - surely no one can be that obtuse and not be kidding.

- One_American you sure have a slanted view of the human race, don't you? I consider myself a liberal and have excellent work ethics, etc. I say deport the radical right, you're killing us all.

- One(Blind)American blames liberals for "losing" the Vietnam War. I'm sure if he had his way, US soldiers would still be fighting and dying in that lost cause, too.
