Comments on: Obama In '08? He's Thinking About It
Illinois Senator Changes Mind And Will 'Consider' White House Run
- Sen. Obama for President not VP. The country needs someone like him. Smart. Good common sense. The fact that Obama is not a career politician/lier is a huge plus. This guy is right for the times. Perfect. The country needs new direction. A fresh start. Good old plain common sense.
Please listen to him before judging him too young. I may campaign for Sen. Obama for President. Pair him with a Southern VP and we got a winner! - Reply to this comment
- "If Democrats win the House next month it may not matter what Hillary%u2019s poll numbers are. The Media is bound to make Pelosi and Obama the new Barbie and Ken for the next two years shutting Hillary out completely."
I disagree. Hillary Clinton will never get shut out completely, in my opinion. Pelosi would probably be a great speaker, but Hillary is closer to being moderate than Pelosi. Obama will just continue to get "presidential training", whatever that entails. - Reply to this comment
- To everyone here let JaneMcCreev rant and rave. She obviously has not read the Washington Post or Times lately. They ran a story on the anger factor affecting the outcome of the elections, moderate republicans, independents and conservative democrats were abandoning the GOP for the democratic party. The arrticle was quite in depth and offered polls to support it.If those polls are correct and all the other polls then we will have a democratic sweep in both houses. She (McCreev)has never offered a single solution in any of her post besides vote Republican.Where was she when the IDIOT president of Iran was saying that Israel would disappear and a large number of posters were in agreeance with the Idiot. Here is the post Jane if you really are an American regardless of political affilation you will take these morons on.

- It turns me on so much when Janey calls someone a liberal!!! I get chills all over!!! She whips that word out like every true blue Rabid Republican does! She has all of the proper venom and menace in her voice when she does! No doubt she has kicked to death all the lost kittens of this world! It's her sword of justice and she is going to smite all of us infidels with it! I just knew she would be at this story that's why I came! No self respecting racist would miss it!

- JaneyMcGreev, haven't you embarrassed yourself enough this morning?

- I wonder what Hillary thinks about this?

- demanding his removal will do what Janey? Add another? Do you know how many in Democrats and Republicans in the Senate are racists...alot. Removing them won't help. shifting the mindset of america so that they wither away and die is the key and obama understandings that. You can't enter as a radical and expect to get the support by non-racist whites. Use your head to channel anger, not allow it to rampantly attack. he's a smart man.

- isn't obama a moderate democrat? He has the feel. Anyway, I think it would be good for our countries unity--a young, black president (or vice president) with Hilary as Vice (or vice versa). I'd vote em in!

- meboard,
Barrack and Pelosi ARE THE PARTISAN problem.
But then again, in your Liberal Neo-Fat bias, you refuse to consider that. Grow up! - Reply to this comment
- He has a very nice rhetoric. However, I'm not so sure he's established enough in the political community to win an election. However, if he keeps gaining popularity, I'm sure he'll be a top contender in 2012.

- And P.S.: JaneyMcGreev you're proof of the partisan problem we face!

- I'm VERY impressed with how he comes accross with the public. There's someting about him that makes me hopeful that this country can somehow pull itself out from under this nasty partisan devide that's been wildly promoted these bast years. We need someone who can look beyond "red and blue" and see a vision that brings people together to fix our inclusive problems. I'd support him! We don't need an "experienced" politician! In fact, I support a 1 (non-consecutive) term limit for all members of congress; you get one chance to serve then out you go for a break. If the voters still like what you did for them, then you can serve AFTER someone else sits on the hill.

- jh6379,
You need to stop drinking the pablum - so does Obama. Grow up first...hmmm, maybe even read a book.
As for Obama, show some character and flint rather than being a typical Democratic Plantation Slave. You claim there is still bigotry in this country? You're right - right next to KKK Byrd. Demand his removal from the United States Senate.
Then talk... - Reply to this comment
- When you can show us you are Presidential timbre and not grovel to an unrepentent Racist and Bigot like Robert Byrd, then talk to us about running for President, Barrack.
You have offered nothing but a new face and a lot of old Democratic Hot Air. In fact, you were one of the first "cut and runners". Okay for being a Liberal Dem, but how comes you've never had the guts to demand the resignation of Grand Kleagle Byrd? There's something that smacks of hypocrisy here, especially after reading your book.
Colin Powell is much more Presidential timbre than you will ever be if you stay on the discredited road of the Democratic Party, Obama. - Reply to this comment

- You know what he might just be what this country needs. We have had more than our fair share of so called "experienced" leaders and look what it has gotten us. Being from Illinois, I was always impressed with the way he handled himself, and he has not been on the Beltway, or Corrupway if you prefer, long enough to be totally compromised, with being politically correct and another media made with no substance politician.

- What about a Hillary/ Obama ticket? It could give him years as a VP for experience.

- To Previous; He wrote a book and is promoting it this past week all over the eastern US. Hillary will never win a national election, ever.

- As Obama said, no one is prepared to be President. Anyone believing one is more "deserving" than another, based on length of service or experience, is wilfully denying themselves the opportunity to be led by great leaders. We need someone of Obama's character, integrity, dedication and internal strength. And strictly from a political perspective, he'd be a great candidate for the Democratic Party.
