Politipoll,,, If you haven't noticed the money for our troops,, cut for a telliscope for the Air Force Acadimy,, & a bail-out for Locheed,,, that's not supporting our troops, thanks a lot for nothing republicans. As usual the industrial machine comes before real support, as they did in Viet Nam, the real harm came from the GOP.

Politpoll,, just what is cut & run? A Slogan & a very wrong one at that. Is it like "They hate us for our freedom" or "They hate our democracy"? Bush says listen to Al Queda, Al Queda says, "If we hated your freedom or democracy we would attack Sweden" How about "Lost our will to fight"? BS, stop underselling Americans. How about stop the spinning, & actually support them, that would really be good for our troops.

Captain Michael,, This doesn't surprise me much, I personally don't count on a leagl system run by this party of Grant, Myself a career sailor, my son a Marine Staff Seargent, know the realities quite well. Iraq is worst than even CNN says, it's now a no-win situation, Senator Bill Frist says today "Taliban can't be defeated by our military" so there goes Afaganistan, as we lost Central America, South America, Cambodia, these radical republicans simply have to go.

What in the cornbread h*ll are you talking about searingtruth? Are you asking folks to give up their beliefs and moral values because of one idiot in Congress? He's been run out of Congress, vilified, shamed, no one is standing by him, and he may even be prosecuted. What is left?

I thought this area was for comments about the article. How did it become a discussion area for a bunch of pontificating blowhards.

Does anyone In America believe that smoke screen Congressman Foley%u2019s attorney was spewing out? He now claims he was molested by a Clergy 30 or 40 years ago and that makes his actions, over the past years in congress, of chasing page boys justified. So now he is enrolled in an alcohol treatment facility (even though no one knows he drinks) in hopes the legal system won%u2019t have the stomach to pursue him there. It seems that as soon as a member of congress gets caught in a crime they run to some treatment facility to avoid prosecution by the authorities. Let%u2019s hope the legal system has more credibility than the congress and goes into that treatment facility drags him out to face the music of his pedophilia before the father of one of those pages does!

From SearingTruths's "A Future of the Brave" -

My fellow citizens, the truth is that the Constitution fails to defend itself, enduring only in the brave hearts of those who would uphold it.

So today I ask every American within the sound of my voice, or reach of my words, to once again stand as one people, with one voice, with one conscience, and one purpose, and demand the immediate and unconditional restoration of our government of the people, by the people, for the people, and visible to the people.

Today I ask every American registered with the Republican or Democratic parties to immediately abandon those failed institutions and register as a non-partisan voter. Today I ask that from this day forward, we, as a united people, vote only for those candidates who pledge to immediately restore our Constitutional Republic.

These are the keys to the kingdom my friends, which we have always held. It just seems that, for awhile, we had forgotten how to turn them.

Yes, it's time to empty our secret prisons. Let us free the innocent, and justly convict the guilty.

And let history record that in that darkest hour, when loss predeemed history, providence again praised freedom. Providence, and the righteous will and might of the American people.

...

Oh the Republicans are crying in their beer tonight because they're getting super Monica Lewinskied right before the election. Tisk Tisk Boys- what goes around comes around. In desperation over the coming Democratic sweep looks like Hassert will be the next sacrificial lamb Speaker resigning under a cloud-- a jinxed position or business as ususal? Those liberals will probably try and say old Foley is a hypocrit since he was chairman of the missing childredn caucus but since these pages weren't missing that's not hypocrisy- better get Ann Coulter on this and figure out how to blame the 9/11 widows...

SharnCeder,, What's our agenda?? That's easy, Truth, Justice & the American Way, Actually pay for the war, really support our troops & not the military industrial complex, actually win a war instead of spinning 2 loosing ones, restore our honor & respect with the rest of the world & stop ailienating potential democracies. Any democrat or republican who violates our moral standards, constitution & laws jail them.

"What's next,, I pledge alliegence to the North American Union?"

I didn't get the context of this statement (must of missed the previous post.)

But you got me all excited. Are you talking about the upcoming merger with Mexico? Let me say ... Yes! I'm in, great opportunity, I'm already there with buying a house in Mexico near the beach, let's get this merger deal done, we have 20 million Mexicans anyway, only 40 million left in the whole country.

It's a great opportunity for us and the Mexicans, a great merger prospect. There may be some layoffs due to redundancy (?) but we will retrain!

Republicans get a free pass on perversion, just like Democrats get a free pass on union-busting and taking away civil liberties. You'd think it would be the other way round, but its that way round, because the Democrats supporters (customers) have been conditioned to hate Republicans blindly, and must criticize Republicans. They can't criticize their beloved Democrats for being in bed with corporate America and abusing the poor and doing the very things they claim they hate the Republicans for. The Republicans can't hate the Democrats for these things either, because it is not their hot-button issues they've been conditioned to hate over. So the Democrats get a free pass when they act like the image of Republicans. And the whole thing works vice versa. Thus so many Republicans are known open perverts, there are others in the not so secret closet. Odd they are taking down Foley now, the Republican voters probably don't really care.

It makes me think someone important wants the Democrats to win the House in this election. What is their agenda? Our secret leaders have been doing poorly for us lately, so my trust level is uncertain. I can't say our secret leaders are wrong 100% at this point though, our country is doing OK in many ways, lots of people, all of them have food and many of them healthcare.

Shame on CBS Evening News for making the Foley story about "***." That's not the issue. Is Karl Rove the news director now?
