Dear TexasKos,
There's no need to get ugly with me. You have your opinion and I have mine. We can agree to disagree. Thank God here in this country I can still voice an opinion whether you like it or not.
For the record, there are alot of people who did not fight in Vietnam. Oh and since when have you ever seen a sitting president go fight a war. That's why we have him in charge to oversee our country.
There was little President Bush could do about hurricane Katrina. Floridians have suffered many many natural disasters and do you see us blaming the president. That's a cop out. Don't get me wrong my heart goes out to all who suffered but not any one person is to blame.
As for President Bush continuing what he was doing when the second plane hit the World Trade Center, who in their right mind would have possibly been able to stop that. What would you have done? What would any of us have done? It's easy to point a finger when you're sitting on the sidelines. Could you have done a better job?
By the way TexasKos did you fight in Vietnam? Did anyone in your family? Have you fought in Iraq? Are you in the armed forces or have you ever been? Just what do you know about fighting a war for the country you love or are you too busy running that fictional country of yours?
Have a Great Day TexasKos and please get something to tone down all that repressed anger you're experiencing!!!!!!

To maxiG55:

Clinton came into office, having to address the issues of a $290 billion deficit that the country was flustered into during the Reagan and Bush, Sr. terms (the largest in American history, or at least until Bush, Jr.%u2019s arrival). During his term, Clinton had successfully balanced the budget, leaving a surplus of $230 billion and paid off $221 billion of debt in 2000. Clinton added 22 million new jobs, which is more than any president has done. He raised minimum wage from $4.25 to $5.15 per hour, increasing wages for 10 million workers. Median incomes rose to $40,000 for the first time in American history. The unemployment rate fell for seven years in a row, remaining below 5 percent during his terms. The homeownership rate reached the highest ever recorded (67.2 percent)In 1999, the poverty rate dropped to its lowest rate since 1979. I COULD GO ON LIKE THIS FOREVER. Clinton's indictment was a sad public display of the country%u2019s misuse of the judicial system- trying to impeach a president for having ***!??. It%u2019s a sad state of affairs when a country decides to elect a leader (Bush, Jr.), witness his numerous failures, then, RE-elect him. I don%u2019t know about anyone else, but I don%u2019t want someone to take the position of president, and give it A HELL OF A TRY. There are too many lives affected by the whole, hit-or-miss tactic. If you%u2019re hired to run the country, you%u2019re expected to really know what you%u2019re doing!!!!

So I'm guessing you don't work or are on a break or someone is paying your bills for your right to tell others what your feeling... Well I'll paying my bills to have my right to express myself and I'm not telling anyone they don't have that right, just that I do or don't agree. Get over your own ego and yourself!

After watching Bill Clinton on Fox, I really miss him as President. The righties can make up all the spin they want, but I think that the American people can see thru their spin and see the trueth. Bill Clinton was speaking the trueth that the righties fear. Bush did nothing for the first eight months, all we heard about was "Star War" defense and a war with China. They got the warning, and did nothing (Except Bush cleared some bush on the "ranch" The White House has done nothing but lie to us for 5 years and its wearing thin, WE need more people to speak the trueth.

They put out a report that makes them look really bad on terrorism? Bush probably didn't read it, so he thought this would be a good thing for Republicans, because he know his constituency doesn't care about know the facts, they only care about what is "right". They won't read it either.

Clinton is right; he did come down hard on terrorist. It is all there in the report, or at least what of it we get to see.

The GOP/Republicans last hope of survival is making the Dems look soft on terrorism. They will repeat "Bill Clinton" over and over to get emotional responses from those who just plain hate Bill.

The Democrats can defend us from terrorists, and probably do a better job because they'll use their minds.

Democrats should not let GOPers label them as soft or weak, and should stand up like Bill and Hillary Clinton.

History shows that our country has been growing more liberal, left and moderate. The GOP/Republicans need your anger and the polarization of the voting public in order for them to hold power. They want you to hate other Americans.

Next elections, don't them do it to you. Turn off FOX NEWS. Start reading more newspapers, but not just one. Get more sources. Get a balanced look at the world. Get Smart. Get Centered.

If you don't you'll be high on money and low on cash for the rest of your life.

Hilary Clinton - always defending the indefensible, with mindless shrill propaganda pablum for her constituents.

America deserves better representation in government. What is the matter with New York?

when you shell out $500 billion to improve Iraq, what's $7 billion more here or there I suppose...

Well that's just great--our Vice President's name is considered an obscenity by the filters on this system. How ironic.

Sorry: *** = D. Cheney in my previous post.

The Republicans need to stop running the War on Terror as a domestic political program and start bringing in Democrats and Independents who can help get the country back on the proper path.

Is it any wonder Democrats are so angry? They've been locked out of any policy decisions since 2001 yet the Republicans cast them as unpatriotic or "soft on terror" whenever they try to step in and clean up the mess W., ***, Condi, and Rummy insist isn't really happening.

Note to Republicans: the enemy is Al-Qaeda, not the Democratic Party. Stop trying to start a civil war.

The only issues I saw in the Fox news Clinton interview was:

1. Bill Clinton got so worked up he
couldn't present himself in a controlled
professional manner.

2. It will always be "The Democrat's vs.
The Republicans."

In the meantime while this plays out in our media for all the world to see, we are wasting valuable time and our Gov't leaders are being paid on the clock by our tax dollars to have this out in the media?

Then we'll all write books about it and talk about it in the media till were blue in the face while joe blow earns money off the book.

You all portray yourselves as self-serving ego maniacs. Go back to work, get something done. How about raising 7 billion for our healthcare system. How about raising 7 billion for our education in the United States? How about concentrating on how you can take care of our military sitting around the world in substandard conditions? How about supporting our Government irregardless of who is in office and getting something done for the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. We all pay taxes, we all have crosses to bear, I think as Americans we should tell you all to shut up and get back to work. Your acting juvenile. Were all sick of your bickering.

Why must republicans so shamelessly continue to bear false witness? At least they will get what is coming to them. Their souls are doomed.

it wouldn't have been nearly as long had they remained focused on the REAL war on terror in late 2001 - early 2002. Instead they found they didn't couldn't get bin Laden so to deliver "something" they went after some low-hanging fruit in Saddam. Never mind that Iraq had nothing to do with terror at the time (outside of their own borders), and we had them bottled up outside of their borders... Cheney even admitted that in late 2001.

Our involvement in Iraq has made this war longer and more difficult than it ever needed to be... and done nothing but provide fertile recruiting grounds for new breeds of terrorists.

Stay the course is no longer an option.... next

Whatever Mission Accomplished meant, it's not what Bush and Cheney said when promoting the war. They said it was going to be a long hard war on terror and that's what we have. There's no going back. That's why I don't understand the posts and the Democrats.

MERCY....are we to assume that just because Bush is saying he is trying and we must forgive him for his failures! Are we ready to accept that it isn't going to get any better. Is our great nation doomed. I am an American soldier and I refuse to accept this. For me the "Mission Accomplished" is a LIE.
