Jerry Falwell is truly an idiot. Most of us know that a right-wing anti-christ who supports War, torture, and the hatred of *** and hispanics is unaware and immoral. Was he the right-wing zealot
who advocated the assination of a latin-american democratic leader whos biggest crime is standing up for the poor and advocating a less imperialistic world? No, that was another "religious" man. These types are not christians in the tradition of Christs teachings. The only reason people listen to them
is because they feed the fear and hatred of the worst americans. Why does CBS give them a pulpit for pontification equal to that of Humanitarians and superior to that of True Loving Christians?

RE: cantshutup
Have a little heart here. Is what Rev Falwell did any different that what Mr Clinton did with Monica? I do have to agree that Falwell's opinions hold no value and they are spouted from the EXTREME right but to say that religion is *&%$ing up our world is ludicrous. Religious values are shoved so far to the back burner in both politics and media, unless it can be used to embarrass or ridicule, that it has no influence whatsoever.
If you choose to live your life without religion, that is fine and I have no personal issue with that but don't ridicule the faith of others for your own agenda. You%u2019re putting yourself at the same level, albeit the opposite end of the spectrum, as Rev Falwell.

Who listens to Jerry Falwell? The same religious nuts who send money to him and Pat Robertson, thinking they're doing the Lord's Work? The same people who think Dubya is going to deliver us from the ignoble spectacle of *** getting married and then burning the flag to celebrate? The people who think Democrats stalk and kidnap pregnant women, forcing them to have abortions? Maybe they're the people who sincerely believe that Dubya is President because the Almighty himself has anointed him. They could be the same dumbasses who believe the preacher when he says they're going straight to Hell if they don't vote Republican. You know, the millions of fanatics who voted for him in 2000 and again in 2004. Don't ever underestimate their motivation or their stupidity.

So, Sen. Clinton's candidacy will energize Falsewell's constituency. How many people can there be who still listen to this clown? I wish the media would stop reporting on his stupid antics.
