Democrats Take A Break From Criticizing President Bush To Defend Him
- I respectfully disagree with Rep. Charles Rangel. We need to know how the world sees us. President Chavez merely dramatized the obvious. We all know that devils torture people. President Bush is blatantly pro torture. And the whole world is drawing conclusions. Our credibility as a world leader has declined precipitously, and the decline is accelerating. The sleepy folks in Washington need to wake up. We got bigger problems than Hugo Chavez %u2014 way bigger.

- I think Chavez is an idiot!!! I also think we should send him a message and stop buying his oil, making him a million a day. After all, we are "devils".. I for one, will pay higher prices for gas just to hurt him and his country. We don't need his oil. What we need is to develope other kinds of energy and say screw these countries and their oil... I don't care who the president is we should'nt do business with any country that thinks we Americans are devils or wants to slam our country and our President. America is the most giving country in the world and all we get for it is insults and hatred. I for one am tired of it. That goes for these Muslim radicals who think their going to "covert the world by the Sword" too. We don't need their oil either...We Americans can do just fine without them....

- Oh....PLEASE, Bob Brown - you read a couple of PAGES of Chomsky, and now you are ...what....ENLIGHTENED?
I have spent years searching an explanation of how a "LIBERTARIAN SOCIALIST" plans to achieve the Untopian PIPE DREAM. Notice that all of the famous socialists in this country are academia icons. WHY? Because ALL they can do is TALK.
Talk and talk and talk and preach and screech about the SAME FAILED social system.
Name ONE socialist country with freedom and equality. YOU CAN'T. No one ever has, and no one EVER WILL.
I don't normally use this adjective, but if you are too STUPID to understand Hugo Chavez, and his role in the world, your Chomsky adventures will most likely brainwash you beyond hope.
I suggest a milder "Superman" comic book. - Reply to this comment
- Thank God we finally have someone in the White House who is willing to stand up for the USA!
It's about time that we showed the world that we won't be pushed around anymore (Beirut, Iran Embassy, WTC attack #1, Kenya embassy, USS Cole).
The only mistake made by the Bush administration was NOT using Congress to declare all out war, instate a full draft (INCLUDING WOMEN) and send an invasion force to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Iran is next. Psychotic leaders like Ahmadinejad, Hussein and Chavez cannot be left in power.
This is WWIII....which side are you on?? - Reply to this comment
- Laurielee-LOO was it?? LOL. You're reaction alone shows that you have ZERO knowledge of the world (yea you'll be amazed that there is a world outside the U.S) and cant come up with any intelligent comments apart from monkey like knee jerk reactions. Cheers!

The United States Justice system and especially those State and Federal Judges in Texas including Frank Montalvo; are killing people by denial of due process; denial of evidence and denial of witneses. %u201CThe death sentence%u201D. George holds the esteemed award for the most ever in one govenors term. The man with the silver foot in his mouth.
There is a Civil War in Iraq that no body wants to admit
The president has assured the world that he is more than willing to invade Pakistan.
There are plans even now to invade Iran and Syria to destroy nuclear facilities.
We risk nuclear Annihilation

- Should president Bush not be critized even tough he is responsible for thousands of deads? for starting a war with false reasons?
I think it is a good idea go read Chomsky's book. Today I read a few pages at a library and I think it does support Chavez's statements at the UN Well the truth sometimes hurt ... but we cannot change it! We can rationalize and fool ourselves to our own detriment - Reply to this comment
- Mr. Chavez demonstrates immaturity and lack of capacity when offending the USA President . Chavez is "Laugh Of The Day"

- No, I don't think we're gonna be invading any more countries anytime soon. I do wish we'd send troops to Darfur, though.

- Coyote,
It's not "Whether or not Bush's administration is in agreement with Chavez's form of government" as you so mildly put it - it's the fact that Chavez has made clear by his own words that he want's to bring down the American system of Democracy and Capitalism and "spare the Earth of this evil".
This ideology puts him in lock goose-step behind his predecessors Lenin and Mao whose previous failed experiments on humanity cost tens of millions of lives.
This makes him a butt-head. - Reply to this comment
