...my friends have more than I do, so they should share their wealth with me...they're not in the 1%, but they're also in the upper 99%...the protesters need to make that distinction to avoid the perception that the 99% are the ones suffering and the 1% not suffering...
by pahgre October 26, 2011 11:10 AM EDT Hmmmmmm.......looks like it's about time to start the fire and begin roasting the top 1% that delusionally 'think' they deserve 100% of all our wealth in the USA, and then start on their teapublican supporters! ---
I have to smile everytime I read something like that Goofy. Trust me, NOT ALL former military people are Republicans. Some of us ARE Democrats, some of us DO support Obama. Some of us DO still have our weapons.
A rich man's life is just worth MORE than a poor man's life. A rich man's children NEED their father more than a poor man's children. A rich man's wife NEEDS him more than a poor man's wife need's him. A rich man is just all around more Loved by his fellow man, God and everyone than a poor man is.
God Help Us.
I wonder why it was Jesus said something about a rich man's chances of getting into heaven were like a camel going thru the eye of a needle.
Why complain about the ridiculous high earnings of athletes, actors and musicians. YOU contributed to that situation. If you refused to pay the high prices at games or concerts or movies or whatever else , you may very well see a reduction in their earnings. So practise what you believe. Teachers, from K-school all the way up to Univ Professors who mold the minds of our children are paid relatively meager salaries compared with these "high jumpers" and "fast runners" on Sundays who entertain us (not me) at high prices. YOU are to be blamed for that, so stop complaining.
I'm waiting for the "occupiers" to begin demonstrating against others making millions for their work, like TV anchors, entertainers, athletes, etc. Instead, they're just targeting the Wall St. types. If the protesters are against the 1%, then they should be angry about all those who fit into this category and not just a few. Until they do that, their message is hollow and without any merit. Also, much of the bailout money loaned has been repaid, but the protesters refuse to deal with that reality. And, they're not protesting against the government and this administration doling out stimulus loans that will never get paid back or benefit American workers, like Solyndra, Fisker, etc. Again, the pretesters pick and choose which targets to go after, instead of going after those companies or groups that are causing economic problems on a national level and regional level (e.g. egregious public sector union pensions).
Between 1979 and 2007, the top 1 percent of Americans with the highest incomes have seen their incomes grow by an average of 275 percent, according to the CBO study (PDF).
In comparison, the 60 percent of Americans in the middle of the income scale saw their incomes increase by just 40 percent during the same time period,
------------
So........over those 28 years, did the top 1% do something that made themselves more worthy? 235% MORE Worthy than those in the middle class?
by chevyhotrod October 26, 2011 8:49 AM EDT I get it, because you have worked hard all your life, make good life choice, work hard for a education, created a company, put many people to work, allowing them to prosper, feed themselves, cloth themselves, take care of their families...for this your reward is not being allowed into the Kingdom of (somebody else's) Heaven?
Ya, that makes perfect sense.....lol -
No. You're missing the point. The rich young man loved his money MORE than his fellow man. You can't serve two master...money, and God (love).

Finally, somebody with a workable plan!
A rich man's life is just worth MORE than a poor man's life.
