This Koch Brother funded maniac is a sign of the plutocratic reality of America. Where the poor and middle class live and work to support the richest Americans. This is the end results of Reaganomics and Globalization which is destroying the earth and America along with it.

Time for General Strikes yet? Let me know when it is time to bring the Top 1% to their knees. I'll be ready to help organize.

LOL. You theory is deeply flawed, pasha128.

------

The polls of REPUBLICANS with children are in and it;c clear they are AGAINST cutting education and are willing to let politicians that think otherwise know their opinions at the polls. With all those recall elections in Wisconsin pending the Governor and legislators facing recall made a fatal blunder when it comes to attempting to protect the numerous Republicans (including many that voted for this proposal) facing recall elections already.

The theory is not flawed -- except in Texas where mythology takes the place of facts in the education system.

Actually this Governor as most Republicans are not listening to the voters -- even REPUBLICAN voters do not want the funds for their children's education cut.

Yep; Republicans with children will be flocking to sign recall petitions for Governor Walker and will be happy to have a replacement. I wonder how many legislators will feel the rath of the Republicans with Children as they see their educational opportunities vanish. Employers will even be flocking OUT of Wisconsin because it will cost too much to train workers considering the deficiencies introduced to the schools by Governor Walker.

Your wrong, educational systems do train workers. We have vocational high schools, that train students for the workforce. Of course I'm sure with our GOP legislature and governor those schools will be cut out of the budget. Seems the GOP is against educating children, they're trying to make us a third world country.

The two most despised governors in the USA, Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Rick Scott of Florida, both Republicans, have the very same agenda. Destroy the working class and the poor, and promote greater wealth for the rich. (By the way, I feel for anyone with any form of "scott" in their name)) It is the Republican agenda, and as it's ugly head becomes larger and larger, their claims that they are doing good for the country will only seem more ridiculous. The French Revolution was brought about by aristocrats who would today be considered Republican heroes.

omnibus66...define "working class"? I am a middle-class taxing paying worker here in Wisconsin. We are very pleased of our Governor's agenda--we voted for him because of this agenda.
We reject getting deeper in debt and becoming a socialistic State.
It's time for our welfare citizens to get a job ASAP.

According to polls, you are in the minority. Cutting education is cutting our children's futures. I guess that's ok, then.
nasadawg replies:

You have to have the money to pay for all that. If you want to tax something there should be a KID tax. The the people that have KIDS in school and that want all the free lunch, free after school care and free head start or should I say Free daycare. It their kids - tax them for it.

agnesdeo, yes I do find that many of the polls are correct and in a couple of weeks it will be over for Walker the recall against the 6 Republican Senators is going to watch his ability to do this end. In fact he will most likely be recalled next year after one year in office.

Have a nice day.

Jimbom - your kid will have the same teacher and the same books. Nothing has changed. Same class room and school. If you worry about your kids future. Take away the PC and the Games. Feed your kid before they go to school and pack them a lunch.

And where will the money come to replace those books, PC's, etc? Adn who will want to teach our children. Most businesses try to bring in the best & brightest, governmenbt should do the same.

Businesses create JOBS, formrusmcsgt. Tax breaks make sense, however, they should be taken away if jobs are not created by the businesses who took advantage of them. Maybe they are - I haven't checked into it well enough to know.

The Wisconsin new Governor will be recalled after the time expires when the citizens of this State can recall him. This guy is totally nuts. He has taken away any persons right to have representation at work if the boss thinks that the workers are paid to much, or if a certain person dont fit in. I thought that every citizen here in the USA had the right to have sombody represent them if any problems happen, just like in a court of law? It looks like Wisconsin has taken a step backwards and workers have lost all of their rights!

UNions? Nothing but thugs who collect money in order to buy politicians. These teachers are public employees and as such should be banned from unions, just like federal employees

huh? Federal employees can be part of unions. And do corporations not spend millions on campaigns? Look at the 2010 spending.

read that in california teachers can retire after 25 years with 80 percent of their current salary. education administrators are retiring with 6 figure pensions as high as some 190 thousand dollars a year. don't know of anyone in the private sector, average people that work for a living and most likely pay the majority of tax revenue collected, making that kind of pension money. public pensions need to be reined in and off the backs of taxpayers who will never ever make that kind of pension.
