Increased? I thought they''ve been pretty consistent since 2002. Hasn''t there been about 10,000 terrorist attacks in Iraq since we''ve invaded?

I agree these middle east countries are about 300 years behind the times with their barbaric laws. It was about 300 years ago when the catholics would torture people to death for disagreeing with the bible (remember Galileo?). Although this violence has an islamic base, I think there are other reasons for the violence other than spreading islam. Such as western presence in the middle east and our support for Israel. If they were killing folks in the name of or spreading islam, how come they aren''t beheading Russians or Chinese or Mexicans? There must be political motives.

Why is it that when a crime happens in an islamic country, folks blame islam? Criminals are criminals. We have them here too. The beheadings and kidnappings that occur in our country aren''t islamic. I guess the next time a preacher''s wife shoots her husband in the back, I should say "christanity, the religion of peace".
