The news media has now written two stories in two weeks telling us to believe that the ANONYMOUS voices on two ''''tapes'''' found on some internet website (which they refuse to identify, and which the US government hasn''''t shut down yet) are that of Al Zawhahri and Bin Laden. Additionally, an ANONYMOUS ''''senior'''' US official is quoted as saying there''''s "no reason to doubt" the authenticity of the tapes. Does this strike ANYONE else but me as rotten? Why is it that the news media doesn''''t work to independently verify the voice on this tape? More importantly, why doesn''''t the US government put the website where this tape was allegedly found under surveillance, or better yet, SHUT IT DOWN! How can it be that one of three PRIVATE US companies (IntelCenter.com, siteinstitute.org, lauramansfield.com) manage to find these Al Qaeda tapes before even the CIA??
