George W. Bush guaranteed the Saudis that Osama Bin Laden will be safe and free from the Coalition. OPEC uses Bin Laden for the reason to fight a war in the Middle East. This hostility justified the high price for oil. Waziristan will not be taken. The Arab League ordered the Pakistani Army to defend the district.

Folks,
Do not worry...

USSR quit Afghanistan after 13 years of trying everything under the Sun and files for chapter 13.

The USA got 6 more depressing years to go before quitting and filling for chapter 13 (Great Depression).

So, please be patience :-)

In our century, a county''s greatness should be guaged on what we can create and not on what we can destroy, surely those in power see this but are too ignorant to apply it.

Interesting comment JesusEyes. But that login is like putting "lipstick on a pig." Hasn''t "this" country shown in its'' beginnings how cruel it was to women, (no voting rights, couldn''t even smoke in public!) and to its'' black population? (slavery!!) Somewhere, somehow, someone sat down and started a dialouge. And slowly but surely we''re starting to get it. It''s people like you who needs to sit and learn....Why do you think we (humans) were blessed with the ability to reason? Don''t get it huh?

"I do think you have to talk to enemies," Petraeus said Wednesday at an appearance at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, when asked about potential dialogue with the Taliban.

This is the same thing Barack Obama has advocated.

Think Tanks have told us and the US Department or State for years, that it is far better to have political dialogues and active diplomatic missions with all political entities who are organized and declarative about their political alliances, regarldless of their positions and differences.

The Pakistan government wont tolerate violent acts of their extremist Talibans any more than the USA''s tolerance of extremist Evangelicals bombing of abortion clinics and harassing citizens. Hatred still happens under the disguise of religion, but criminal behavior is still condemned.

This is a sad reminder of the "bait and switch" tactics that is a guideline of the Republican Party''s
rhetoric. Remember that gloomy day aboard one this countrys most capable aircraft carriers when the display was, "Mission Accomplished?" We knew then and know for sure now that it was Bush and his "cronies" (Johnny Mac and the gang) who lied to get us into a war for the sole purpose of getting Saddam. It was an act of revenge for his father. This man (Bush "W") used the most precious resource of this country, the blood of our children (troops) to settle a grudge! And then refused to sit down with whom we now NEED to sit down with. Naive? Sarah, I call it leadership! And now, so does your partys leadership.... When I was a child, I "wouldn''t talk to" and even talked about those I thought I couldn''t compete with. Whether it was atheletics or pychological. I think we all did, George W. I believe, still has this weakness and has shown over the years he and his cronies have never been able to run anything. Obama, keep talking and lead this country out of this tailspin it''s in! Sit down with the Taliban, North Korea, Russia, South America, and wherever talks are welcomed and say what you deem is needed, don''t be afraid, your intelligience far exceeds that of your oponent and greater than anything we''ve seen with since Bill Clinton left office.

Why is it that McCain seems to be on the wrong side of most issues. He proposes buying distresses houses when the bailout bill he signed contains those exact provisions. Obama has always advocated diplomacy and now the Bush administration and NATO have arrived at the same position. McCain is an old man, who was last in his college class, who now seems a little over the hill and out of touch.

The behavior of the rich will be the cause of the 3rd World War. They cause so much damage to the rest of us, and then they turn around and blame the middle and poor classes of people in this country for the mess the rich has made. You CEOs need to be arrested for the criminals you are..

Only a stupid Hannity and McCain will talk about a triumphant homecoming ceremony from Afghanistan. We might have to adjust to the fact that it is not worth it and maybe that it cannot be cleansed. Maybe we will also have to recognize that they have a legitimate beef about the tribulations of Palestinians. Israel may not be able to rely on ''biblical'' ordainment to have carte blanche in the West Bank or the Gaza Strip. Perhaps if we stop vetoing in favor of Israel then Russia will also stop vetoing in favor of Iran and we can all compromise and have a period of peaceful existence even if there does have to be some layoffs in the military industry?

"You''''''''ve got to set things up. You''''''''ve got to know who you''''''''re talking to. You''''''''ve got to have your objectives straight,"

Well now we know. Those are the PRECONDITIONS. Does anyone really think that Obama wouldn''''t have those two things in place before talking to our enemies?
If so, quite watching Rush and turn on some real news.

The entire issue with Oblama is not that he will sit down with these people without preconditions. It is that he said he would do it and then denied that he said it. This is anohter one of those "I said it but, that is not what I meant". He is constantly having to explain what he said and what he meant. You either get that or him saying nothing at all. This is not the kind of leader we need in the oval office.
