such venomous hatred from you lefties. You know a sure sign of of insecurity and lack of self esteem is when a person has to resort to name calling to try and make their points. If you believe something to be true you will get people to listen to you much easier if you make your point without the vitriol.

Most of the "lefties" i know never opposed the war in Afghanastan. Those were the people who attacted us on 9/11. *** straight we should have gone into Afghanastan. We are opposed to the unnecessary, wasteful war in Iraq. Stop trying to confuse the two and make it sound like liberals are pacifist. This simply is not the case.

Maybe in honor of 9/11 we should refocus on the people who actually attacted us rather than wasting more time, energy, and resources on Iraq....a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and was not actually a threat to the US. Just a thought. It''s the right thing to do if we truly want to honor the fallen on 9/11.

mydiatribe,

There haven''t been any handcuffs on Bush. Rather than blaming liberals for what your President hasn''t done, maybe you should stop making excuses for him.

Pakastan does have a right to self determination and we haven''t stopped that.

We have some rights as well. We can condition our military aid upon an acceptable level of military
cooperation on their part. We have no interest in occupying territory in Pakastan. Our interest lies on having international criminals apprehended and terror training bases dismantled. Our preference would be for pakastan to do this but they must understand if they won''t we will.

They don''t seem to understand. Afghanistan has allowed international troops into their country to provide security. Iraq has accepted the same. Why not pakastan? Why not a joint Pakastani-NATO force to restore order in Wiziristan?

The answer is that their "self determining" government is infiltrated by the very forces trying to destroy us.

We didn''t get an open invitation to invade Iraq and we won''t get one to invade Pakastan. Iraq was a diversion; Pakastan is the real war against the real enemy.

jackdems2,

Only a Republican oculd connote service to America with prison camps.

The Republican view is that going to a foreign country to kill the locals and occupy territory for oil companies is the only way to serve your country while actually rebuilding your own country and helping your fellow Ameicans who need a helping hand is a bad thing.

KABUL, Afghanistan .An insurgent attack on a compound in eastern Afghanistan killed a US soldier bringing the year''s death toll to 112 and making 2008 the deadliest for American forces in Afghanistan since the 2001 invasion. Some 33,000 U.S. troops are stationed in Afghanistan the highest level since 2001....

Now wasn''t IRAQ supposed to be the "Front" in the War on Terror? IF we achieved our goals in IRAQ then the Taliban and Al Queda in Afganistan wouldn''t matter? ISN''T that what McBush told us? LOL Folks me thinks you need to focus here because there IS a NEW world wide Alliance taking shape and WE, viewed by the rest of the world as dead from the neck up red necks, aren''t even in the discussions. WE aren''t even in the PICTURE!
