Hey, I''''m not talking about Barak Hussein Obama. I am talking about the terrorist Saddam and his lovely sons. Remember them? Like them to run our country? Is that what it will take to make you happy?

Posted by proisrael at 04:45 PM : Aug 25, 2008

What would make me happy would be DUMBYA meeting the same fate as Saddam and his sons. THAT would make me so happy I''d throw a big party to celebrate! You know what I mean?

"most Iraqis think their lives were better under Sadam" LOL!LOL! Does that include the 12 MILLION that voted for freedom under the threat of death? Does it include the Iraqis that CONVICTED Sadam of GENOCIDE and EXECUTED him??? LOL!

OMG what tunnel vision you have. Why don''''t you ask the iraqis if they would like Saddam back?

Posted by proisrael at 04:41 PM : Aug 25, 2008

Actually, most Iraqis say that their lives were better under Saddam than now.

Check out the polls yourself....

So I guess what you are saying is that you would prefer to have Hussein over Bush running the country. Hmmm. Interesting. Sounds about right for you. Yeah.

Posted by proisrael at 04:30 PM : Aug 25, 2008

Sounds right for millions of other Americans too! Do you really think bush should be running anything? Maybe for his life...I can see that happening.

Because your poor little palestinian friends keep firing missiles at them. Well, maybe the Israelis are confusing balloons for missiles. Hmmm. I wonder. Those are some dang strong balloons that can demolish buildings. Yeah, maybe you''''re right. Poor palestinians, not.

Posted by proisrael at 04:35 PM : Aug 25, 2008

I don''t know what this "Palestinian friends" comment is all about - I don''t know a single Palestinian personally, much less have any "friends" there.

But it is obvious that Israel does not want peace - it wants to perpetuate the status quo. That is, with its boot on Palestine''s neck.

Israel has been condemned over 400 times by the UN for its abuses aginst the Palestinians.

And you don''t think we''re paying a price for supporting such unjust treatment?

Think again.

It''s not a matter of preference.

A united Iraq exists no more. It ended in 2003.

And the fact is that Saddam kept Iran out of Iraq.

The neocons left the door swinging wide open....

Oh the poor palestinians. Oh let me dry my eyes so I can continue to type. Yeah, let''''s take a good look at those poor palestinians. What did they do when Israel turned over the Gaza strip? They desecrated the jewish burial plots. Oh, those poor palestinians. Those poor peace loving palestinians. waa waa waa. Give me a break.

Posted by proisrael at 04:24 PM : Aug 25, 2008

Apartheid - racial segregation; specifically : a policy of segregation and political and economic discrimination

Now, tell me that does not describe Israel''s policy against the Palestinians to a tee....

Israel maintains checkpoints within and around the west Bank and Gaza which they open or close at their whim to deter Palestine from developing economically.

They routinely attack refugee camps in Palestine with tanks and gunships often killing civilians whom they term "bystanders".

And then they try to portray the Palestinians as bloodthirty because they respond with home-made rockets to the abuses.

I read a statistic recently that said the amount that we have spent just in Iraq would bankroll the State of Kansas budget for 160 years.

They could have completely fixed social security, provided new infrastructure for the electricity grid to allow for the implementation of renewable generation. Heck they could have rebuilt the twin towers several times over.

Im just not thinking we are getting a very good bang for our buck over there.

You''ve forgotten the sales pitch to invade Iraq. It''s a slam dunk and the oil revenue will finance the whole thing. Common Kool-Aid drinkers, tell me that wasn''t said or we just misunderstood what they meant.

Iran has NO entree into Iraq until the neocons took out the guy who had kept Iran at bay for decades....

Ya but why do we have to be the one that bankrolls them?

Posted by fedupwithit1 at 04:20 PM : Aug 25, 2008

Because we''re the only country with enough religious zealots among it''s population for the practice to be accepted.

The reason the middle east hates israel is because of all its accomplishments in the mere 60 years israel has existed.

I really do not recall ever seeing an officer do much of anything at all. I really don''''t.

Posted by tuckerndfw at 04:15 PM : Aug 25, 2008

Likewise. Exactly why I said that the opinion that officers actualy do something has to come from one who knows no better....

Yeah, but we are not doing the same things over and over.

'''' We are in the middle of our project.''''

It''''s our quest to get rid of Taliban and etc.etc and make the world a safer place.
It would become a nightmare if you would leave it unfinished.
Jesus! save my a*s*s.

I was the "strategic planner" for my entire company. And, I was an "officer" but I was a long way from being a commissioned officer.

I am often amazed to see people who demand calling back troops. We must finish our job; there is no reason to leave Afghanistan.

Posted by TomFlint69 at 03:52 PM : Aug 25, 2008

As for me, I''m amazed at those who call for the continuance of a policy that is obviously failing.

One defintition of insanity is doing the same thing, over and over, and expecting different results....

To win the war on terrorism.

There is nothing to win there--we would have to invade every country in the universe to even attempt that--we don''t have the blessign of other countries and can''t do it alone.
The US needs to secure it''s own boarders

To have peace in the Middle East.

They have been fighting since the beginning of time--who are we to think we can bring peace with war?
